[Six Eyes lv2 (1/300): Possesses 360-degree long-range vision, can see the flow of energy, and has remarkable dynamic vision, allowing for precise energy manipulation.]
After leveling up Six Eyes, the 360-degree long-range vision has been more than doubled, increasing from the original 200 meters to 500 meters.
This means he can clearly observe within this range, capture small targets, see the specific flow of energy, and has strong dynamic capture abilities.
If it's a matter of seeing things more vaguely, his vision can extend even further, though, like an ordinary person, he can see but not clearly distinguish.
In addition, leveling up to lv2 has awakened another ability: X-ray vision!
Now his Six Eyes can penetrate steel plates about 10 centimeters thick, observing internal conditions. Unlike the Byakugan, which presents a black-and-white view, he can see things in color, and with extreme clarity.
"This isn't even..."
Obtaining one of the most desired superpowers from his past life so easily, Alex felt a bit disinterested.
"Hmm?"
Suddenly, Alex noticed several drones rapidly approaching from his expanded vision.
Further away, he could see a fully armed unit advancing quickly, closely following the drones.
This was definitely not a revenge act from Kingpin, nor was it the work of a gang—they wouldn't have such advanced equipment. This was the power of the military, likely a secret unit specialized in capturing mutants!
In no time, the drones were close. Alex gave a sinister smile to the cameras on the drones, and then a blue-black vortex swallowed all of them.
He then used cursed energy to strengthen his body and quickly left the area.
From the original owner's memory, Alex knew that this unit had mutants who joined the military, and their strength was not to be underestimated.
Even with the Limitless Technique, facing various strange abilities wouldn't be safe.
He was currently in the fastest growth phase, and there was no need to clash with the military head-on.
What he needed now was to continuously absorb energy, improve his template integration, and once he awakened the Reverse Cursed Technique, he would have little to no worries at all.
…
In a hidden military base, numerous screens were arrayed on the walls.
Suddenly, several screens went dark almost simultaneously, indicating that in a very short time, at least a few drones had been destroyed simultaneously! Noticing this, a middle-aged man with a stern face and sinister eyes, wearing a colonel's insignia, asked a soldier:
"What happened?"
The soldier immediately stood up and reported to the man:
"Colonel Stryker, there was an anomaly during our operation to capture Subject 9527. It appears the target underwent a secondary awakening, manifesting additional mutant abilities."
A gleam flashed in Stryker's eyes. He then approached the screens and said to the soldier:
"Pull up the footage from the drones before they were destroyed."
The soldier quickly displayed the footage from the drones on the largest screen.
The drones were flying forward, and soon, a tall, thin, white-haired man appeared on the screen.
As the drones hovered in the air, aiming at the white-haired man, he smiled at the camera. Suddenly, a basketball-sized blue-black vortex formed in his hand and rapidly approached the camera, causing the screen to go black—indicating the drone had been destroyed.
The other drone recordings showed the same scenario: the unknown blue-black vortex moved at incredible speed, destroying all the drones in an instant!
Colonel Stryker's expression grew stern. He remembered Subject 9527 because his abilities were similar to a particularly powerful mutant from decades ago.
That mutant could absorb nuclear energy, a terrifying ability!
However, Subject 9527's energy absorption had been so weak that he couldn't even fully absorb the kinetic energy from an ordinary punch, so Stryker had paid him little attention.
Unexpectedly, he had now reappeared, having awakened additional abilities.
After reviewing the footage several times, the last image froze on the blue-black vortex.
This vortex's destructive power was evidently very high, capable of easily tearing through metal and destroying drones.
Furthermore, 9527 displayed another ability: a wide-range sensory capacity.
He had clearly been aware of the drones' approach from the beginning and had been waiting for them. The change in 9527's hair color to white and his blue pupils also piqued Stryker's curiosity.
Replaying the footage again, it stopped on that sinister smile.
Colonel Stryker displayed a cold smile before issuing his orders:
"Capture 9527 with full force; he has significant research value! Deploy test subjects 1085 and 1086 to assist in the capture. Subject 1086's spatial attacks should be able to penetrate 9527's defenses!"
After giving his orders, he muttered to himself,
"A challenge, is it? Then so be it."
…
At 1407 Graymalkin Lane, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, in a hidden laboratory.
Jean Grey handed a report to Professor X,
"Professor, we've noticed unusual movements in Stryker's unit. They seem to be allocating most of their resources to capture a mutant identified as 9527."
"9527?"
For the same reasons as Stryker, Professor X also had a deep impression of the mutant designated as 9527.
This brought to mind his encounter with one of his most formidable adversaries, Sebastian Shaw, the Black King.
In hindsight, if not for sheer luck, he and Erik might not have been able to kill him!
However, Subject 9527, a young man named Alex Locke, had an extremely low power ceiling, making him one of the weakest among Level 1 mutants, with abilities that were practically useless.
This had led Professor X to overlook him and not immediately invite him to join Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
He hadn't expected to see Alex's name now on Stryker's target list.
Professor X knew Stryker well enough to know that if Alex were worthless, he wouldn't expend so much effort to capture him.
Concentrating such forces meant that something mysterious must have happened to Alex.
He immediately used Cerebro to locate Alex, hoping to invite him to the school before Stryker could capture him.
But...
"Why can't I sense Alex's consciousness? I could clearly detect him before..."
Even with the immense potential of Jean Grey, he could always sense her consciousness.
Could it be...
Professor X suddenly realized that the mysterious change in Alex might be the cause.
It might be something that could block his mind from entering, even preventing him from sensing Alex...
Could Alex have the potential of a Level 5 mutant?
Or—has he already become a Level 5 mutant!
Thinking this, Professor X quickly said to Jean Grey,
"Find Alex at all costs. We must contact him before Stryker and Erik do, and persuade him to join the school.
Alex might very well be an Omega level mutant."
