After putting on his clothes, Zachary looked at Bailey and said, "There's a new toothbrush and towel on the cabinet on the right side of the bathroom. You can use them."
Bailey nodded and went in again. When she saw that her face was bare, she was surprised. When did she get up last night to remove her makeup? Why didn't she remember?
When Bailey came out after washing up, Zachary was no longer in the bedroom. Barefooted, Bailey pushed open the bedroom door and saw Zachary in the kitchen.
Bailey walked over curiously and suddenly stuck her head out from behind Zachary. "What are you doing?"
Zachary was so frightened by Bailey's sudden appearance that he almost lost his soul. He turned around and looked at Bailey as he said angrily, "I'm making breakfast. I'm afraid that someone will starve to death at my house. With our tense relationship, I'm afraid that I'll be suspected of murder."
Bailey pursed her lips. Only then did she remember that she was no longer a ghost. It was all because this house was so familiar that she forgot about it.
In her previous life, when she was a ghost, Bailey would also scare Zachary when she was bored. However, Zachary had never been frightened by her. She didn't expect that in real life, she would successfully scare Zachary the first time. Just thinking about it gave her a sense of accomplishment.
Zachary carried the plate to the dining room and placed the breakfast on the table. "Come and eat."
Before Bailey could answer, Zachary saw her bare feet. He frowned slightly and resisted the urge to go forward and pick Bailey up. He quickly took a pair of slippers and threw them at Bailey's feet. "Put them on. Don't dirty my floor."
Bailey rolled his eyes. Which woman could stand such a man? He was sarcastic, didn't know how to have tender, protective feelings for the fairer sex, and was even a blockhead.
'I'm not angry, I'm not angry. Bailey isn't angry. Think about how he avenged you in your previous life and how he missed you all day long.'
Bailey suppressed the anger that was almost spewing out of her heart and forced a smile. She stared fixedly at Zachary, who was opposite her. She picked up the chopsticks on the table, picked up a sunny-side up, and stuffed it into her mouth. She bit down hard, with such force that it seemed like she could crush his bones.
Zachary observed Bailey's expression. Seeing that Bailey didn't look like she was forcing himself to eat, he relaxed. In the next second, the egg in Bailey's mouth sprayed all over his face.
Bailey had a bitter expression on her face. She pointed at Zachary and scolded, "Zachary, I knew you didn't have good intentions. You just want to kill me with salt."
Zachary sighed inwardly. He wanted to taste it after he was done just now, but Bailey suddenly appeared. He was too embarrassed to taste it himself. In the end, it was Bailey who was unlucky. Yes, that was why!
Zachary coughed lightly to hide his embarrassment. He pushed the milk in front of Bailey and said, "My hand shook. I put too much salt. Why don't you drink some milk?"
Bailey looked at the milk suspiciously and asked, "Don't tell me you put vinegar in it?"
Before Zachary could answer, Bailey waved her hand. "Forget it. I'm not eating anymore. I'll eat at home."
With that, Bailey left the dining room and prepared to go home. Otherwise, she felt that she would starve to death here.
Zachary wiped the egg on his face and looked at the egg on his plate. Was it that bad? He picked up the sunny-side up in disbelief and placed it in his mouth elegantly. In the next second, his expression changed.
Just as he was about to spit it out, Bailey came out. Zachary could only hold it in his mouth and bear with the salty taste.
Bailey said goodbye to Zachary. "I'm leaving."
Before Zachary could say anything, Bailey opened the door and left.
The egg in his mouth was so salty that his eyes were about to roll back. The moment he heard the door close, he immediately vomited into the trash can. Then, he drank a few glasses of water before stopping.
No wonder Bailey said that he did it on purpose. Anyone would misunderstand this taste.
Zachary sighed and shook his head helplessly. How did things end up like this? He clearly wanted to create a beautiful breakfast atmosphere.
Xavier and Julia saw Bailey the moment she got out of the car.
Julia rushed forward and hugged Bailey with an aggrieved expression. She sobbed pitifully. "Sister, you're finally back. I've waited for you for the entire night. I wanted to explain to you properly. I really didn't betray you. I'm also a victim."
Xavier sized Bailey up from head to toe. She came back early in the morning, and her clothes were different from yesterday's. She didn't put on any makeup either. Something was wrong.
