Sharp Tongue

Yang Ya began, "Ye Yao, your father called me today."

Ye Yao rolled her eyes. She knew that Yang Ya wouldn't come looking for her for no reason! She put down her coffee cup and said unhurriedly, "You've been divorced for so long and each have new families now. It's wrong for my father to contact you. Ignore him if he should contact you again in the future. Otherwise, if Qin Jiao's father finds out, it'll be difficult for you to explain."

Yang Ya paused. She knew that Ye Yao was changing the topic! She took a deep breath and guided the conversation back on track, saying bluntly, "Your father came looking for me because he wanted to contact you. He said that you wouldn't pick up his calls, so he contacted me."

"Then you're in the wrong," Ye Yao replied. "Many times when I was younger, I asked your help in the matters between my father and I. You were never there and would not answer my calls. Why would you interfere in the matters between my father and I, now that I've grown up? You're someone else's wife now. Don't interfere in our Ye family's matters, lest you get into trouble. Yang Ya was rendered speechless by Ye Yao's words. She had not seen the girl for so long, and did not expect that the once obedient Ye Yao had actually become a sharp-tongued and thorny person.

Ye Yao looked at the woman and reminded her considerately, "I think you should stay out of the Ye family's matters, for the sake of your current family. You have never cared about the Ye family or me in the past. Don't suddenly take on the responsibilities of a mother now."

Ye Yao no longer had any feelings for Ye Tianhao and Yang Ya. It wasn't her, but her parents that were heartless! Her good behaviour over the years was worthless in their eyes, and it would only encourage them to further mistreat her. She did not spend a long time overseas, but in that short fortnight she was there, it almost killed her! She had never experienced such a dark moment or encountered such inhumane things. All of this was thanks to Ye Tianhao. If she could still happily call Ye Tianhao her father and forget all the pain, she would not have been able to return from overseas alive. She was able to come back only because she was indignant! There was still anger in her!

At this moment, Ye Yao suddenly looked behind Yang Ya and waved with a smile. "Here!"

Yang Ya turned around in confusion. Then, she saw Gao Qiao walking in and sitting on the seat beside Ye Yao.

Gao Qiao greeted Yang Ya, "Madam Yang, long time no see."

Yang Ya was rendered speechless by Ye Yao and Gao Qiao's words. She had never thought that she would be questioned by two children like this. How was she going to explain? She could only sit there awkwardly and say to Ye Yao, "Ye Yao, it's all Mom's fault. Mom was forced to do this…"
