Chapter 1 First Day At The Gibson’s Residence

Bella just came out of the train holding a small traveling suitcase. She looked very gorgeous in a simple white jeans and blue T-shirt.

The sun accentuated her face and made the glow of her delicate skin to pop up under its rays making her look so beautiful and angelic. One would swear she was an angel in human form if he saw her. But in fact, she did not even wear any makeup and was just naturally beautiful.

She stood on the walkway and saw the train which she had just dropped out from going back, then turned back to look at the deserted train station with only very few people there.

"Ehem, you must be Miss Bella Eugen"

Upon hearing her name being called, Bella casually turned back.

Before her was an elderly man wearing tuxedos and gloves. She couldn’t help but marvel at his choice of cloth in this hot summer season.

But she didn’t bother pointing it out, she just smiled at him and gave an affirmative nod before answering him.

"Yes, I am Bella, you must be from the Gibson’s family"

"Yes ma’am, I am the driver who was sent to bring you home today, right this way"

The reason why he said home was because he thought the Gibson residence was going to be her home.

After all, it is Grandpa Gibson that had engaged his son James to the country girl a long time ago.

Now is just the time for her to come and meet James, the said fiancé.

Mr James Gibson being the only child and heir of the Gibson family happens to be the president of the Gibson Enterprise. At a very young age, his position has awarded him great power and respect across the country.

He is both feared and respected by many people of different age and status. At the same time being admired by the beautiful ladies in the country making him the most eligible bachelor.

So for a country girl like Bella to be engaged to him, everyone was surprised and envied her. There were rumors saying Bella played some dirty tricks to gain this engagement.

The driver gave her one good look again. "At least she is beautiful," He thought.

Then he gently took her suitcase and guided her to the parking lot where he had left the car and opened the door for her.

After putting the suitcase safely in the truck and making sure that she was seated in the car, he started driving.

He drove the car until it reached the Land Of Fragrance where the Gibson residence was and drove right up to the front door.

Bella, who was trying to sleep in the back seat of the car suddenly opened her eyes when she felt the car slow down.

She saw it parked in front of a very big and ancient looking Villa based on the wall decorations.

Thinking about the reason she was here, she sighed and stepped out of the car.

Coincidentally, the front door just opened at the same time but before anyone came out of it.

Bella wanted to enter because she was eager to rest from the long journey she had. She was in such a hurry to enter that she did not see people standing right in front of the door,

She absentmindedly walked right in until she hit one of them which happened to be James’s mother, Joana.

"Ah ah ah" Joana shouted at the sudden intrusion and pushed Bella away from her so that she almost fell to the floor.

"Where’s the maid, hurry and spray the cleansing water on my body, this girl has touched me"

Seeing the maid rushed and sprayed the "cleansing water" from a rubber, Bella laughed at the scene and thought that she must have landed in a circus.

She laughed so loud that she caught everyone’s attention and they looked at her.

Joana gave her a scrutinizing look.

She immediately stopped laughing and was ready to apologize for bumping into her, it was the polite thing to do. After all, she was the visitor who had just come to her fiancées house.

"I am…"

Before the word could completely leave her mouth, she heard Joana ask the maid to spray her.

The next thing she saw was bitter liquid being sprayed on her entire body.

And because her mouth was open when she tried to speak, some of the liquid had made its way inside her mouth and caused discomfort in her throat.

"Ah what is this, stop it"

She screamed at the maid and the maid immediately stopped spraying the content.

She knew that Bella was the new girl who was engaged to their young master James Gibson by grandpa Gibson. And today was her first time in her in-laws house, so she really felt bad for her to experience such a thing upon arrival. But at the end, her paycheck comes from the Gibson family so she has to do what she was told.

"What are you doing? Did I tell you to stop?"

She glared at the maid for hesitating to carry her demands and pointed towards Bella.

"Spray her legs too, we can not afford to let her contaminate this house with whatever she brought from that place"

"Okay ma"

The maid squatted and sprayed on Bella’s beautiful legs.

But Bella was very tired and couldn’t keep up with their childish act. She tactfully swayed herself and passed through the small opening in between the maid and Joana to enter the house.

She thought that she was finally free from their drama but she didn’t know that this was just the beginning of it.

Even when she entered, she was still not saved and was quickly attacked by Sabrina who was James’s cousin.

"You… you think my cousin will marry you?" Sabrina made funny and gestures like jesters towards her as she dramatically spoke. "Hah, don’t deceive yourself, you better go back to the farm house where you belong, with the grasses hahah"

Bella just looked at her with awe and wondered why the Gibson family is like this. She also wondered if she could actually stay in the house for another day, then talk less of a month.

She ignored them and entered further into the house and asked the maid where her room was.

"Right this way Miss."

After walking up the stairs, they heard Sabrina suddenly shout and pointed to a particular room.

"Here, this is your room"

Bella didn’t think much of it and entered the room.

The maid who was going to take her to the last room on the hallway became confused when she saw what was happening.

Sabrina who had angrily followed them upstairs to get back at her for ignoring her at the door then started speaking again

"Why didn’t you answer me just now at the door.."Before Sabrina finished talking, the door was closed as Bella instinctively locked her disturbing noise out of her way. She just wanted to shower and rest.

But instead of Sabrina to be mad and angry that the door was lucked on her mid sentence, reverse was the case, she was happy and had a senile smile plastered on her face.

The maid however who just stood behind the two women and observed everything had the opposite reaction. Her body was slightly shaking seeing Bella enter the room.

She wanted to remind Sabrina who the owner of that room was just in case she had forgotten so easily.

"Miss Sabrina, you must have been mistaken, this is not the room allocated for the new Miss to stay,

it’s actually Mr. James’s room and .."

And you know how he doesn’t like anything that belonged to him to be touched by anyone else especially outsiders.

The maid was about to say that but Sabrina’s loud voice obstructed her and hindered her from saying.

"Don’t worry, if someone asks you, just say she forced through to show her his room so she could stay there"

The maid still felt nervous but there was nothing she could do so she could only nod and agree with Sabrina.

Seeing the nod, Sabrina was very confident now that the she had set a trap for them.

That the two who were supposed to be engaged were going to have a fight the first night she came here.

"Well it’s more like, Bella’s going to be scolded."

With that thought in her mind. She was more than happy.
