Someone else had answered the call. "Ms. South, what do you mean by that?"
"I can't get a hold of my friend Lily who's now in eastern Angria. Mr. Chandler spoke to me earlier, and he mentioned my friend. But we've not told anyone about it. I need to talk to Mr. Chandler," Nidia replied.
She had a hunch it was Derek who first answered the call.
However, after she said the first line, the phone was passed to someone else.
This person might be one of Derek's subordinates.
"I'm sorry, Ms. South. I don't understand what you are trying to say. Please call back when you've figured out what to say."
Then the person hung up.
Nidia expected it. She and Rina knew Derek would be wise enough not to let them get the goods on him, let alone admit to kidnapping Lily in an attempt to threaten her.
A while later, Nidia made a call again.
Same as before, the person only answered the call after quite some time.
