"Thank you for being so concerned about me, Jack. You didn't need to bother yourself," Mia said.
He smiled. "I sent you a message for like four hours without a response. Of course, I am bothered."
"I was just focusing on my routine. I want to impress Ralph by the next session."
The door opened, and Sheila walked out, smiling. Her smile widened when she saw Declan. Mia shook her head silently at her. She knew what Sheila was about to do. Sheila was a big fan of Declan, even though he wasn't a chef or anything. She marveled at how someone could come up with a plan that favored others. To Mia, he was saving the world in his own way.
Declan smiled at her, and she couldn't help herself. She extended her hand in front of him. "Hello, I'm Sheila. I'm Mia's friend, and it's a pleasure to meet you, Declan Wilson." Without waiting for Declan to respond, she continued, "You can come in. I heard about what you did for Mia and how you have been helping her. I appreciate it."
