Mr. Reid's Sweetheart

Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way. The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. After a span of silence, Charles opened his mouth and said, “You are not going anywhere. You are now mine; mine to love, and mine to torture.” ………….. Charles Shaw is the assistant of Aidan Thompson, the CEO of Thompson’s and Co. But he eventually turned out to be the heir of a multi-billionaire business empire. While working under Aidan, he encountered Abigail Mills, the fiancee of Aidan. Chapter 41- Unexpected encounter- 2

Abigail didn’t go back to dine again. She came out of the restaurant. On the way out, she called Lilian and informed her, “Lilian, I am going home.”

“What? Why? You…”

Lilian, on the other end, became anxious. She didn’t want to be alone with Victor, but Abigail left her with him. She was kind of upset. She wanted to curse her, but Abigail didn’t give her time to finish the sentence, “I am not feeling well. I am sorry.” With that, the call ended.

Shocked and puzzled, Lilian looked at the screen with her mouth wide open. She gradually closed her mouth and gritted her teeth in fury.

Victor was worried to see her infuriated look. He asked, “What happened? Where is your cousin?”

“She left.” She glared at Victor angrily.

Victor was taken aback by the hostility in her eyes. Why was she mad at him? Was it his fault that her cousin left early?
