"One's feeling of freedom can be felt by others through a light-sounding voice."
_______
After cycling, Jae-Hwo invites me to have breakfast together at a place where street vendors sell their wares. He said he missed eating here and wanted to buy his favorite chicken porridge. Since I don't like chicken porridge, he bought me a sum-sum porridge. Not only that, but he also bought two cups of warm tea which was not warm but very hot. If it's like this, I remember that time, the time when So Young teased Jae-How who would turn into a colorful chicken because he often had chicken porridge for breakfast. Why do memories like this when remembered make me laugh and laughter invite Jae-Hwo's attention?
"If you turn into a lunatic, you'd better stay at home, not in public!"
I glanced at Jae-Hwo sharply and my laughter was lost due to Jae-Hwo's words just now. I don't know if my laughter was laughing at him or if it really would turn into a colorful chicken. Thinking about it again makes me laugh out loud.
Jae-Hwo stirred his chicken porridge, and he stirred the chicken porridge team. Look, he doesn't forget how to stir chicken porridge even though he hasn't eaten chicken porridge for a long time. Don't even forget the mainstay ritual before eating chicken porridge, which is to smell the aroma of chicken porridge and sprinkle it lightly with crackers.
"I want to eat Soto for breakfast but I'm more interested in chicken porridge. It doesn't matter because both are Soto soup." Honestly, I'm curious about what Jae-Hwo just said.
"You mean, this chicken porridge soup is Soto soup?" I asked because I didn't know.
Jae-Hwo's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at me. "You don't know?" He asked dramatically.
I nodded. "I just found out that the chicken porridge soup uses Soto soup!" Yes, I just found out today because I've never eaten chicken porridge so I don't know.
Jae-Hwo's head shook slowly then shoved the chicken porridge into his mouth. He looks like he enjoyed his breakfast this morning. Looks so longing for chicken porridge. Is there no one in Seoul that sells chicken porridge but it doesn't seem to exist? If there was, surely Jae-Hwo wouldn't be this dramatic. Suddenly my brain came up with a jail idea. "I don't like chicken porridge because when you mix it, it looks like cat vomit!"
The two slanted eyes stared at me deadly but not disgusted at all. Even sucking the chicken porridge with a deadly stare. Good acting. If I say this to Axelle, the guy will certainly vomit and refuse to eat chicken porridge for two months.
"Eat the porridge, I bought this with papa's money so don't waste it!" He always disobeyed his papa's money with the excuse that he could not make his own money so he was always proud of his papa's money.
"Package inheritance money!" I laughed crisply while eating the marrow porridge that had just been touched due to my daydreaming focus.
"The most valuable treasure is the inheritance of papa and grandfather!" Jae-Hwo laughed at my singing until his already slanted eyes narrowed even more.
No wonder mom matches Jae-Hwo because they are the same. Both are happy with the inheritance of their parents. Our family was able to buy a house in the housing complex because my father and mom inherited it. So, the inheritance money is used to buy a house to make it much more useful and visible. My parents are the same as Axelle's parents, they also bought a house because of the inheritance. Even Jae-Hwo's parents, who are richer than mine and Axelle's parents, also got the house as a wedding gift from Jae-Hwo's grandfather who was in Solo.
Why am I discussing unimportant things about inheritance, anyway?
I didn't feel it, my marrow porridge was gone too but I still felt hungry. It looks like the chicken satay and Lontong sound good. What if I stab the child who got this inheritance to buy chicken satay with Lontong? "For the inheritance to be useful, buy me a portion of chicken satay and Lontong!" I put on the cutest face possible and I'm sure it must look weird.
Jae-Hwo looked at me while drinking the hot tea then put down the teacup and stood up from his seat. He paid the bill for porridge and hot tea after that he forced me to stand up from my seat. I'm sure he will buy me chicken satay so I just think positively. My face suddenly pouted when he got on the bike and told me to ride.
"Chicken satay!" I muttered to him who was already sitting on the back of his bicycle, tugging at the hem of his sports shirt.
"Breakfast again at home. Auntie has already cooked breakfast for you so you should eat it!" Why does he sound like a mom if like this? Ah, it's only natural that mom likes his more than likes me.
I was still pouting while he raved about his life in Seoul which wasn't as pleasant as it was here. There he has to do a lot of things that make his body tired and it takes his time to play. He had to study and that's why he moved here to make his life more relaxed. As for So Young, she feels at home there because his twin sister likes to study and can be said to be crazy about learning.
"It's so much fun, inheriting, relaxing, and being able to play!" I commented and he burst out laughing. The laughter that sounded for a long time didn't come out.
I exhaled and felt, that Jae-Hwo lost his freedom and happiness there. It was clear from his loose voice and seemed to return to the normal life he had longed for. Should I be very nice to him and not ignore him or erase my dislike for him so that Jae-Hwo's life here really feels alive because he is not lonely due to being away from his family? But... I can't yet because of his mischievous nature and won't let myself calm down for a second.
He was still laughing and my heart touched hearing this laugh.
Can't he laugh out loud like this when he's in Seoul because his schedule is so hectic and it makes him so stressed that he loses laughter?
"Jae-Hwo, don't you need to go to a psychologist for a consultation because you seem to be under stress!" I said and he immediately braked his bike suddenly until my head hit his back.
"Down!" His messenger in an annoying voice but I refuse to go down.
Jae-Hwo is crazy, he rocked his bike for me to get off the piggyback but I won't budge. It's good that I live alone here.
"Axelle!" Jae-Hwo shouted and I automatically looked in the direction where Jae-Hwo shouted.
Yeah, shit. It was Axelle with her mistress. I'm sick of seeing that. He's riding with his mistress and they look happy while I'm here like a lunatic being forced off Jae-Hwo's bicycle. Why can he look so fine when I still harbor hatred and anger towards him? This is all torturing me. I want to go straight home and take a shower and then have breakfast, after that learn to divert all of this.
"He's busy dating so he can't be bothered, we'd better go home because I'm starving!" Hopefully, Jae-Hwo will obey because I won't be able to if Jae-Hwo finds out that Axelle and I were dating.
I can't stand Jae-Hwo's reaction.
Jae-Hwo nodded. "Seeing them dating makes me want to throw up. Look at their ridiculous dating style!"
I don't want to see them and it's enough that I see them making out. Not a second time or so.
"Okay, let's go home because someone is hungry but why doesn't his body weight decrease, huh?" He complied with my request but his insinuation sounds annoying.
On the way home, he suddenly stopped and said, "I feel hungry after piggybacking you!" Then he returned to pedaling his bicycle, laughing.
It's a shame what he said. Really, how heavy am I? Ugh, that sucks.
To be continued.
