The Fight That May Continue.

"Always wanting to be involved in every pain that is felt, not that it wants to interfere but sounds like one body that wants to feel pain too."

_____

After cleaning myself up and doing the maghrib prayer, I lay down on the bed for a while waiting for the Isha prayer time to arrive. My eyes were closed because I felt too tired for today and had no more energy to move. Today there was no archery practice session but it felt so crushed that my heart felt uncomfortable. Is it because of Jae-Hwo and Axelle that I feel this way? They shouldn't be fighting because of me and why did Jae-Hwo care about me until he hit Axelle?

I don't know, I feel like I can't think when I'm tired like this. Moreover, today I am very wishy-washy.

The shock I felt made me groan because I was still sleepy and changed position by facing to the right while pulling the blanket but it felt so heavy that I let my body not be covered. My body was shaken again and this time I opened my eyes and changed position to lie down.

My eyes widened when I saw Jae-Hwo who was holding his arms looking at me with an annoyed look. "Who let you in?" I snapped at him because I was really surprised when I saw Jae-Hwo in my room.

I also switched to sitting on the bed while looking for the hair ponytail that I had removed and tossed it beside the pillow. "Why are you still here?" I shouted after finding a black hair ponytail and then tying my hair back.

"Isha prayer then come down for dinner!" Jae-Hwo said as he threw me the top of the mukena that I had put on the prayer rug.

My head looked at the digital clock above the nightstand and it was already half past eight in the evening.

Before Jae-Hwo's back passed through my bedroom door, I said to him, "Thank you for caring about my pain for Axelle!"

He turned his head just as he was in the middle of the door frame. "You don't need thanks because he deserved a beating!" he replied and for some reason, I hated the sincere look in his eyes.

I bit my lip slowly as I took a deep breath. "You got hurt from fighting with him and I don't like seeing you get hurt because it hurts." It must have hurt to get hit, especially when the punch made an impression on the corner of Jae-Hwo's lips. Even I can still see the wound and the traces of blood flowing from the corner of his lips.

"That's what I want! I don't want you to feel sick alone so I will accompany you to feel the pain too. Although, the inner pain is much more suffocating than this physical pain." He pointed to the wound on the corner of his lips.

"Next time don't do it again because I can avenge my own pain." I press him so he doesn't interfere anymore because this is not his territory but mine with Axelle and the two families.

He looked at me closely from a distance. "You think you're the only one feeling sick?" he asked me and I nodded. "You're wrong! I also feel hurt for him and the pain made me beat him this afternoon."

I stood up and took a step so as not to be too far from where he was standing. "So, what did you do to Axelle just now for your pain? Even though you said earlier that you hit her because you wanted to feel the same pain as me. Which one is true?" I asked a little excitedly because I didn't understand what he said, which I thought had two different explanations.

He let out a breath and looked at her wistfully. What the hell, gazes can change so quickly. "For both!" he answered briefly then turned around and left my room by grabbing the doorknob to close my bedroom door.

"Don't fight with him anymore!" I firmly told him while looking at the door that was about to close completely but stopped.

"I can't guarantee!" his response then proceeded to close the door loudly making a sound.

"Jae-Hwo is crazy!" I shouted annoyed because he was annoying.

*.*.*.*

I can't forget what happened last night at dinner. My family complimented Jae-Hwo except for me and Loretta who just kept quiet. My silence was not because of what Loretta said on the stairs, but because I was tired of saying a word or two after my argument with Jae-Hwo in the room before dinner. The memory came at the wrong time because now I was in the archery building.

"Save my number! I've said it many times and you ignore it!" Jae-Hwo scolded me by snatching my cell phone which was in my hand. Disrespectful.

Yesterday when I was about to enter the room after the scene of making fun of Sister Lovelace, there was an incoming call from an unknown number and it turned out to be a call from Jae-Hwo. Since yesterday he's been begging me to keep his number but I didn't and now he's doing it himself. Saved the number in my phone contacts.

Best friend

What the hell? He gave his contact name like that. It's up to him. "I bought a new phone and number after leaving the airport so you have to keep my new number. But keep my Korean number." He said dramatically how could he be this dramatic when he was a man? Is it because she's So Young's study-crazy twin and the drama queen?

"I looked for my name in your contacts but it's not there! What do you name my Korean number?" he asked and why was he so curious?

"Irritating!" I answered and stood up.

"Am I too excited to come early!" I'm talking to myself by walking on the spot.

Jae-Hwo put the screen on my phone in front of me and the name of the contact sucks on it. "You are going too far! Why are you naming my contact like this? Even though I named your contact Bestfriends!"

Gosh, he's just a contact name problem like this. "The important thing is that your ID card isn't called Annoying, okay!"

He sulked and put my phone back in my bag and sat down. "You always underestimate other people's feelings!" he muttered and I could hear it.

I approached Jae-Hwo and took my bag. "I put the bag in the locker of the locker room first and you wait here. After being officially accepted as a school archery athlete, you can put the bag in the locker of the men's locker room."

I stepped away from him who was still sulking. My emotions are stable so I'm not mad at him this morning. Especially today I'm practicing archery so I have to maintain my emotional stability. I can't be influenced by anyone today.

After placing the bag in the dressing room, I came out of the dressing room greeted by the sight of Jae-Hwo who was warmly welcomed by Mr. Handoko and several other friends. Seeing Jae-Hwo who looks happy like this makes me happy because he has no trouble communicating here so he can interact well with other people. Could it be that Jae-Hwo is destined to live here because his aura is really friendly?

"Roosevelt, don't daydream!" scolded Arthur who was in front of me and I just realized.

"I'm not daydreaming!" I argued because I was not daydreaming.

"Then how many seconds have I been standing here?"

"Twenty seconds!" I answered originally.

"Maybe because I don't know myself!"

We laughed and our laughter invited Jae-Hwo to look at us with disgust. Wow, he's good at changing expressions. He should have registered to become a Korean actor instead of returning to Indonesia.

To be continued.
