"Your heart's still racing," Zaelek pointed out as he stared at Akira from the bed.
"Stop eavesdropping on my heart!" Akira snapped.
"It's not really something I can just stop hearing," Zaelek spoke with a small sigh, "Your heart is too loud."
"..."
"Well, if it makes you feel any better just know that you can always climb up here and sleep on the bed with me."
"No, thanks. I'm comfortable on the couch," Akira replied without even missing a beat.
"Suit yourself."
Akira soon fell asleep and Zaelek couldn't help but stare out the window.
In the middle of the night, Zaelek, who was still awake, stood up from the bed and walked over to the couch. He gently picked up Akira and placed him on the bed before heading out through the window.
"So you finally decided to show up?" He heard a familiar voice.
"Do you have anything to say?" Zaelek rolled his eyes as he questioned.
