Lydia held the order slip and stared at it for a moment.
Thinking of the green tea Amelia had just brought her, she felt a darkening of her face.
Feeling nauseous, she poured herself a glass of water and drank a large gulp.
For a moment, the nausea persisted.
She finished the rest of the water.
As Lydia put the glass down, she saw the items she'd brought back.
Amelia's words about adding the cost of the items to President Robinson's account still lingered in her mind.
"Do you see that bag?"
The manager followed her gaze and saw a bag in the corner.
"Later, I'll write a card, and you deliver it to Mrs. Cobb."
Upon hearing these words, the manager was surprised: "Isn't this too valuable?"
This brand's products are all at least six figures.
It's a waste to give something so expensive to Linda Kent.
There was also no need to try to please her with such a gift.
"If the gift wasn't valuable, wouldn't you think they'd even bother to look at it?"
