Jet-lagged
Arriving in front of the door to Zhang Liling's room, Mr. Fang knocked softly.
Hearing no response, he guessed that she must still be asleep, so he turned the door handle downwards before gently pushing the door open.
The first thing that caught his sight as soon as he opened the door, was the figure laying on the bed with the fluffy white duvet covering from her shoulder to her toes.
Walking in proper, he shut the door behind before taking quiet steps inside, still, the sounds of his shoes against the tiled was audible.
Although that was so, Zhang Liling continued to sleep peacefully.
'Is she that tired?' he thought to himself as his steps inched closer until he was now standing beside the bed.
"Liling," he called out softly.
He was aware that it was risky to raise his voice just to wake someone in a deep sleep because it was not good for the brain hence, he had to wake her gently.
