Alyssa

After Hunter and I finished counting the money, we realized that we were $50,000 short. It's already eight twenty pm and we couldn't figure out a way to come up with the rest of the money.

"How about we rob a bank?" I suggested. Hunter gave me the 'are you dumb look' and I just shrugged my shoulders. Five seconds had passed and I got another idea.

"Do you have any better ideas?" I asked since he obviously didn't like mines. He was quiet for a while, pacing the room. I stared at him and then stared at the money.

"Ok maybe we can ask uncle Brody for some money. If he doesn't have it, we'll ask another one." I agreed and with that, he called uncle Brody.

"What's up Hunt?" Uncle Brody asked. He was the only one that called Hunter Hunt. I admit, it was a stupid nickname but Hunter's always loved it since he was a young child.

"So you know that we have to come stay with you on Monday? Alyssa and I have combined the money that we've saved up over the years and we only have $50,000. We're $50,000 short. We were hoping you would help out." I'm really hoping he has the money to help us out of this jam. Hunter took him off speaker.

We were on a ticking time bomb. "Ok. Ok. I hear you." By the looks of it, it didn't look too good. Hunter continued pacing and I continued trying to hear what uncle Brody was saying.

"Alright. Thanks." And with that, the conversation was over. Hunter hung up the phone and held it in his hands.

"So what did he say?"

"He said that he can only give us $10,000. We'll have to get the rest from uncle Mike and James." I nodded my head and grabbed my phone out. Scrolling to uncle James' contact, I called him and Hunter did the same with Mike.

Once we were done, uncle Mike had agreed to give us $10,000 as well and James' has decided to give us $15,000. Now we're $15,000 short and there's no other option we could think of besides robbing a bank. They both also agreed to come visit us tomorrow and stay until we had to leave.

"Go get some sleep kiddo. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow." Hunter said. I just rolled my eyes and stuffed the money into a bag.

"I'm older than you. You're the kiddo." He just laughed and left my room. I laid in bed, thinking about Wednesday. What if we don't get the $15,000 by then? What will those men do to us?

My thoughts controlled me until I eventually fell asleep.

The Next Morning.

I woke up around twelve fifteen. Getting out of bed, I took my phone with me to the bathroom and I closed the door. As I started getting ready for the day. I turned the shower on, making sure that the water was hot just like I like it. I put my hair into a bun and began to take my clothes off. I grabbed my phone and went to Musi. Playing Summer Walker tonight, I got in the shower and was delighted of how the water felt on my body.

Besides sleeping, taking a shower makes you feel like the stress has been washed off of you. You feel more relaxed, more at ease. I washed my body, making sure to get every part clean.

It's been three months to be exact. When me and my ex boyfriend broke up, I didn't want to me with anybody. So I just stayed to myself and got my life together. I wasn't gonna be a female with a messed up life. I made sure everything was in order.

After about thirty minutes, I was ready to get out of the shower. Turning the water off, I wrapped my towel around me and stepped out. Grabbing my phone, I open the door and walk over to my dresser. I threw my phone on my bed as my music continued to play.

I grabbed a Nike sports bra, boxers, and socks that matched. Drying my body off, I put my clothes on and finished up with putting on leggings and a tank top. Going back to the bathroom, I brush my teeth and clean my face with my acne cleanser.

When I was done, I grabbed my phone, turned the music off, and walked downstairs. Hearing noises, I rushed down the steps to figure out what was going on.

"But dad the money could help. I don't know why you won't take it." Hunter says to dad as I walk into the kitchen.

My dad, Hunter, and my uncles are all in the kitchen making breakfast. I guess I slept in later than expected.

"What's all this fuss about?" I ask as I make myself known. All heads turn towards me as I walked over to the plate full of bacon. Before I could even get a piece, uncle Mike slapped my hand away.

"No eating before breakfast is finished." He's always done that. Especially when I was younger, I would always try to eat before breakfast was ready and before I could even get my hands on the food that was done, he would slap my hand away. I've always hated it.

I just rolled my eyes which earned a laugh from everyone.

"Your brother here tells me that you both have money that you've saved over the years and are willing to give it to me to pay off Austin Dechart."

"Pretty much. Oh and your brothers here have also agreed to give us some money to help. But we're $15,000 short."

"Hey we have names you know." Uncle James says. I ignore his comment as I finally sneak a piece of bacon off the plate and eat it.

"For the last time, I said no. I will get the money some other way." He's such a stubborn man. Can never take help when it's being offered.

"Look Danny, you need to accept the money. We aren't gonna take no for an answer. Now stop being so damn stubborn." Uncle Mike said to dad. All dad did was glare and Mike and he did the same. I was sure they were gonna glare each other down until the toasts popped up out of the toaster.

"Ok breakfast is ready." Dad said and I could feel a smile creeping on my face.

"Stop smiling. You look like a weirdo." Hunter said and I elbowed him in the stomach, hard.

"You little-"

"Watch your mouth Hunter." Dad said and I laughed a little. Hunter glared at me and I gave him one right back.

"Enough. Now make your plates and go away."
