Leaving the cemetery, Rong Anyu looked up at the bright sun. When he shifted his gaze, he saw Ye Li standing not far from him. "The afternoon flight?"
She asked so calmly, as if yesterday's event hadn't happened at all.
Rong Anyu nodded and walked towards her. With a quick glance, he caught sight of Ji Yanchen nearby. A glimmer of realization flickered in his eyes.
She must have found out.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Ye Li was upset but felt helpless. This was Rong Anyu's family affair, and to put it harshly, they were neither kin nor kith. Rong Anyu had no obligation to share this with her.
Yet she thought they were like family, as Ye Li shared many of her own matters with him. In contrast, Rong Anyu always kept everything to himself, unwilling to reveal the slightest bit to Ye Li.
Rong Anyu was silent for a few seconds, with a faint smile on his face, "It's not a big deal." His mother had died of cancer, his career had hit rock bottom, and he had accumulated a lot of debt.
