Hasten Marriage
"What's wrong, George?" asked the lover in a low voice holding the old man's hand.
"What did he tell you? And what did he know about me?" asked George at last.
Irene looked closely at her lover, who was her fiancé.
Honestly, she was confused about where to start the conversation. Many things she wanted to say, and also ask the man in front of her.
"Honey, are you listening to me?" asked George, rubbing Irene's hand affectionately.
Irene nodded her head slowly. She told George that she had been listening to what the young man had to say, but she was confused about starting her conversation with her lover.
"You can start anywhere. I'll listen carefully,"
The woman nodded her head slowly. Her hand that was previously in George's hand turned to rub George's cheeks.
"Are you all right? Any hurt?" asked the woman, who was now getting emotional.
