A Birthday Surprise
Natalie and Kevin wrapped up their time in the dance studio by patting each other on the back for successfully scheduling all the students who signed up for classes.
"Are you done for the day?"
He checked the time on his watch, "Anna should be arriving in an hour or so. Other than that, Javier and I will have the rest of the day to put everything in the workshop where it should be."
She smiled when he did. Gone was the gloomy Kevin who met her in the morning, and a much happier version of himself was sitting in front of her. The successful day seemed to have lifted his spirits.
"Alright, this leaves one thing for you and me to do." Kevin leaned back with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He reached beneath his jacket that was lying on the floor and pulled out a small box. A smile played on his lips as he handed it to her.
"…Always a day early, Kev," Natalie accepted the box with a huge smile.
