Rose Liu.
I grunted as I opened my eyes and felt the sweat that had once again drenched my bed.
"Another nightmare,"
I thought as I got up to get ready. I was not going to let this keep me down. It was time I tried to live again. It had been four years since the incident and every night was the same. I had moved back to China two years ago to get a fresh start and today was going to be the beginning of it. I hope...
"Rose!!" I heard my grandma call "Rose you are going to be late!!" I heard her call again.
Looking at the time I panicked "Oh my goodness!" I rushed as I got ready and headed downstairs. I grabbed a bite to eat and out the door I went to a new start.
I looked up at the tall building in front of me nervously. "You are going to do great Rose you got this, she would want you to do this."
I tried to encourage myself as I rushed inside before I talked myself out of this. I walked up to the receptionist offering a smile as I introduce myself
"Hi, my name is Rose Liu, and I am here to interview for the position of Mr. Bai's Personal assistant."
She smiled back politely "Hello Ms. Liu please head up to the 25th floor Mr. Bai's Executive assistant is expecting you." she said pointing to her left where the elevators were located
"Thank you" I replied and made my way to the elevators.
DING
The sound of the doors opening brought me back to life, adjusting my suit I walked out of the elevator slowly but confidently.
I looked up at the man standing in front of me who seemed stressed.
I spoke nervously "Hello I am Rose Liu here for the interview"
"Hello Ms. Liu, I am Yan Cheng Mr. Bai's Executive assistant. This way please" He replied as he started in the direction of an enormous black door.
I gulped, rubbing my sweaty palms together as I followed behind him. He knocked on the door twice and waited until we heard an authoritative voice
"Come in".
He pushed open the doors and waited for me to go in before following behind.
I scanned the office taking it in. It was all black with touches of white and grey that looked more like an attempt to make the office feel less cold than as a design choice. There was a huge window behind the desk that overlooked the city making for a great view.
My eyes finally settled on the huge desk in front of me as l got a better look at the man sitting in front of it my jaw dropped, and my eyes went huge with shock while he stared at me with a smirk on his lips and at that moment l knew my world was about to be turned upside down...
