Chapter 11: Escaping Plan

She slowly pushed herself off the tree and straightened her posture. Looking forward to continuing her jog, her eyes widened when she saw a familiar figure jogging toward the middle of the track. Her heart skipped a beat, her hands were covered in sweat. She couldn't believe her eyes. Luo Yuan, dressed in his black tracksuit, was running on the track.

"Shit! What is he doing here? Is he seriously jogging here too?" Li Xia panicked as she frantically turned around and hunkered down, her feet touching the ground.

"No! No! I can't face him like this!" she exclaimed, panicking. Her finger skimmed her face nervously while her eyes glanced from the left to the right. She was looking for an escape route but none came up.

"He can't see me like this. I have no makeup on," she whispered to herself in frustration, "I am looking ugly right now."

After thinking for several seconds her mind lit up with a temporary escape plan. For this purpose, she unties her ponytail and scatters her hair to cover her face. Then stood up, dusting off the grass off her pants.

She started taking big steps on the track to avoid to escape from this place. As her face was covered with her hair. She kept walking until she bumped into a hard but at the same time delicate thing. A hand wrapped around her waist to stop her from falling. And her hand touched the object lightly. It was something like muscle tissue, she concluded.

Looking up, she could see a pair of hazel eyes staring directly at her. Li Xia's breathing began to quicken as her heartbeat accelerated. His gaze was so intense that even though he was wearing his glasses it didn't stop her from being able to read his expression. His stare made her skin tingle all over her body.

Before she could come to her senses, Luo Yuan let go of her, causing her to lose her balance and fall backward with a thud on the ground.

"Ouch!" Li Xia winced in pain as she hit her elbow on the hard ground. She clutched her arm with her hand and gritted her teeth.

"Crazy woman," with those words he left her there on the ground. He didn't recognized the person but to him, she was nothing but a crazy woman who was touching his body inappropriately.

"Heartless," Li Xia muttered as she tried to stand up but her arm ached and hurt too much to even lift herself off the ground.

"That's good, he didn't recognize me," she thought in relief and slowly patted herself. Standing up, she brushed the dirt and grass off her clothes.

Li Xia then walked at a slow pace toward her apartment because Luo Yuan had disappeared. The pain in her elbow only intensified but she endured it as it wasn't the most important thing right now.

When she finally reached her apartment, she rushed inside and slammed the door shut. After closing the door, she walked towards the sofa and plopped down on it.

"That was close," Li Xia sighed in relief.

After recovering her breath, she removed her jacket and shoes. She looked around her living room looking for a first aid box and found one under the couch.

She opened it and pulled out a bottle of antiseptic. After cleaning her elbow she placed bandages on it, covering the wound. She grabbed a glass of water and drank it while glancing at the wall clock, which read 8:00 A.M. She remembered having a shoot with LovaLOga for their Cosmetic products at 9:00 Am. She groaned in frustration.

"I only have one hour to get ready now," Li Xia mumbled as she walked towards her bedroom.

As usual, she shattered her clothes all over her room. Her bags, her shoes, and her hair accessories were arranged messily across her room. After thinking for several seconds she decided to wear lilac-colored pants paired with a white top with ruffled sleeves. And lilac-colored high heels. For accessories, she chose a white colored bead hairband and small earrings. With these things, she went into her closet to get changed into her outfit of the day.

Luo Yuan entered his apartment after finishing the last lap of his run. As he stepped into the living room, he walked towards the kitchen to grab a bottle of water from the fridge.

Opening the bottle, he swallowed some water down his parched throat. He gulped down the rest of the water and set down the bottle on the kitchen counter, his phone started ringing. Tapping on the side of his AirPods, he answered the call. A voice rang out on the other end, "Hello."

"Mr. Luo.....He paused for a little while.

"Say it," Luo Yuan said in his usual voice, trying to sound impatient.

"Your mother is waiting for you at your office,"

Luo Yuan removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. He closed his eyes as he let out a sigh. He is the youngest and most successful in the business world. He can deal with any difficult situation. He can defeat his rival in a fight if need be. But he can't deal with her mother's stubbornness, obstinacy, and persistence. He can't help but give in to her every time.

"When will you arrive here?" Luo Yuan asked.

"In about 10 minutes sir."

"Alright," Luo Yuan replied, ending the call. He then walked towards his bedroom to take a shower and change his tracksuit.

By the time Muchen arrived, he was already dressed in a navy blue suit consisting of a white shirt and a navy blue coat along with a navy blue tie. His dark brown hair was perfectly styled with some hair falling on his forehead.

"Your coffee Mr. Luo, Muchen came forward with a black coffee in his right hand and a bag in his left hand.

Luo Yuan took the coffee from his hand and took a sip of the drink. His breakfast consisted of only black coffee. He prefers bitterness. The more bitter the better, that is how he likes it.

Luo Yuan stepped out of the apartment, followed by Muchen. At the same time, he saw a girl coming out of the apartment that was in front of him. Who was making sure to hide from him, but he recognized her?

"Stop right here!" Luo Yuan said with his eyes glaring at the girl's back figure.
