"Good shot!"

The voice of the photographer rang out over the room, cutting through the quiet air. The lights dimmed and a spotlight shone down on their faces, illuminating the woman who was presenting the make-up product in front of them.

Her long brown hair cascaded down her back like an endless waterfall. The light fell upon her brown iris that were framed with thin black eyeliner. She wore a tight red dress that hugged all of her curves and a pair of silver heels which made her look even more stunning.

Her lips were painted red and she had on lipgloss. She looked so beautiful, everyone else in the room couldn't help but admire her appearance. The woman placed the lipstick back onto the table and gave a smile and bowed to everyone standing there.

The shoot was done. Now it was time for them to go home. Her assistant instantly went towards her and gave her the water bottle that was in her hand.

"Li Xia sis, you did a very good job today!" her assistant said before opening the cap of the bottle and giving her.

She smiled at her assistant and nodded while gulping the water down her throat. She was thirsty because of the long day she'd had.

"Thank you again," Li Xia told her assistant before giving her back the water bottle.

"Ah, at last, the shoot is over for today," Li Xia let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in.

Li Xia has become a famous blogger in the beauty world. She had been trending in the china for one year now. That's why everyone wants their products and their collection to be introduced by her.

"Yeah, I remembered Mr. Xiao called you when you were shooting," her assistant told her and gave her the phone back.

"Okay I will deal with him, you go and collect things we will leave after that."

Li Xia took the phone from her assistant and put it to her ear, waiting for him to pick it up as she step down from the stage.

"Miss. Li, you finally decided to pick up your phone," his voice came from the other side and Li Xia could already hear the smug tone in his voice.

"Xiao Xian, you seem a little angry today," Li Xia teased. Xiao Xian was her best friend since university. And now he was her boss and manager.

"Just leave that, I called you to inform that you will have to attend a party tonight, '' he told her and soon her expression changed. He knew that she doesn't like to go to parties and he still asked her nonetheless.

"Xiao Xian, you know that I don't go to parties, you sure are asking me to beat you up," Li Xia responded with annoyance.

"It is not that kind of party but an event of Fang Group. Every CEO of cosmetic companies, actresses, and bloggers is invited."

"Oh well, then why don't you go instead of me?" Li Xia suggested.

"Mei Lin is also going, are you sure that you don't want to go," Xiao Xian replied. Hearing Mei Lin's name, the expression of Li Xia changes into one of disgust.

"I will go, if she is going then so am I," she replied firmly.

Mei Lin and the things Mei Lin did to her were a nightmare to describe. Li Xia was just a normal high school student. She was cute, bubbly and a lovely girl. She loved herself the way she was until she met Mei Lin who bullied her and harassed her because of her looks. She made her high school years nightmares.

"Are you sure?" Xiao Xian asked once more to confirm her statement.

"Yes, yes I'm certain," she answered with finality.

"Okay then good luck Li Xia," he said and hung up the phone.

Li Xia sighed as she placed the phone back in her purse and in the meantime, her assistant came back to her.

"What happened to Li Xia sis?" she asked worriedly after seeing her expression.

"Nothing, I just have an event to do tonight," Li Xia answered.

"Okay, should we leave because everyone has already left the set?" her assistant asked.

"Yeah, that's what I thought too,'' she replied.

She walked towards the door as her assistant followed her behind. When they got outside the building, the sun was already setting and it seemed like the sky was painted with a beautiful orange color. Li Xia looked at the sky and then closed her eyes.

"It feels amazing," she thought to herself and opened her eyes.

"Li Xia sis," she was snapped back to reality and saw her assistant looking at her with concern.

"I am coming, okay, '' she added quickly and then got inside the company van that was parked right in front of the set.

In the building of the Luxurious penthouse, a man with a prepossessing look was standing in front of the large glass window of the bedroom looking out of it at the city view below.

A cup of coffee in his right hand and his left hand in his pocket. His beautiful hazel eyes were hidden behind his glasses but couldn't hide the mesmerizing beauty underneath. His black hairs were neatly styled and fell perfectly onto his forehead leaving only the small hair on top untouched. He wore an AirPods as he was talking with his secretary on his mobile.

"Mr. Luo, the renovation of your apartment is done according to your request even the furniture is also set according to your taste," his secretary informed him with a little hesitation in his voice.

"Good," he replied in his husky voice, his eyes still focused on the sky that was now turning into darkness.
