CHAPTER 4::SY HOSPITAL.

Axelle woke up and stared at the white ceiling down to the blue curtains and the scent of disinfectants.

Her gaze landed on the half eaten fried chicken and chips and her stomach stopped hurting but she wondered who brought her here Susan could not possibly afford such a hospital.

Or was it Jeru ? Her boy friend,he is rich but not as wealthy to afford such hospital she looked at the spacious room,with warm blue and white interior with a lounge filled with fruit drinks and vegetables there is only one hospital in S city with such, that is the Sy hospital.

She sneered at the thought of Devin sending her here 'he wouldn't'.

The door finally opened and Devin graciously walked in along side Ben.

"Miss Barton" Ben greeted.

"Don't expect any bonuses." Devin spoke indifferently

Your family owns the hospital seriously do I need to pay you moreover your wealthy it wouldn't make you less. She hissed inwardly but dared not say it out.

He continued "unless you pay me back"

Once more Axelle rolled her eyes, you caused my predicament.

She could only say "how? I don't have much money and even my bonuses won't cater for a day in this lavishly expensive hospital" one would intentionally fall sick to come here it could be compared to some expensive hotels in s city one night here could be up to 7 digits if she wasn't mistaken.

"True that but I have a date with someone and might need you to shoo her off."

"I wasn't paid for that."

"Then pay me back the money."

Axelle gritted her teeth and agreed while staring at the back of the man she disliked 'bastard' when she was discharged she walked her way to the gate but a car stopped,she saw Ben,she hopped in.

The car stopped at her residence she turned to Ben "my things are at work " how does he know my residence 'she thought' Devin kept surprising her.

"Oh sir Devin had asked Miss Susan to pack your things and send me to get it for you it's in the trunk." Devin is that thoughtful she was surprised.

"Thank him on my behalf." Axelle told Ben as she waved.

"You are helping in return so it's no big deal." Ben drove far from her outskirts of s city it was a calm hood with less of modern buildings and industries.

Axelle walked to her apartment laundered Susan's clothes which she borrowed wrapped in a paper bag and wore a purple coloured long sleeve and a white baggy shorts which fluffy purple unicorn slippers which Jeru bought for her on her birthday she loved light coloured clothing so much.

Speaking of Jeru she took her cell as she sat on the sofa munching the remaining chips Devin had bought for her.

The phone was picked on the first ring " hello babe" Jeru responded from the end of the line with a moan.

Axelle furrowed her brows "where are you ru."

"Oh I just tasted the best Ice cream." He was lying but Axelle had no idea he had a sexual affair outside their relationship,she loved and trusted him too much and still those so she believed.

" Without me Jeru?" Axelle asked childishly.

"No babe,you know what I will pick you up and take you out after I am done with work."

"You are still at work ru? I don't want to distract you bye ru"

"Bye babe " with that said Jeru continued his exercise with Rita.

He did regret this sexual affair but Axelle refused to give him all of her and for a rich enough man he could get any girl to satisfy his desires from time to time without her getting to know.
