Her days without Ashton by her side

After making sure the twins were alright and comfortable at The Greenfield Academy, Phoenix parted ways with Ethan and went back to her office.

Phoenix was working when Lilian came into her office and told her about the promised meal that she made to Philip.

"Mr Gu asked to set the meal for dinner on Wednesday night," Lilian said. Lilian knew that Phoenix usually rejected dinner invitations. Thus, before she agreed to anything, she would ask for Phoenix's opinion first.

"Can't we have lunch instead of dinner?" Phoenix tapped the tip of the pen that she was holding on the table while answering Lilian.

"I've already asked Assistant Ko that, but he said that they are busy during the day, so lunch is not possible. They can only spare some time for dinner," Lilian answered.

Phoenix pursed her lips, 'if they're busy, why would they insist on the meal?' she complained in her mind.
