CHAPTER 49: CHANCE

There was a huge sound of that things breaking and glass shattering. Anger was evident in his eyes as he sat back down on his chair, clenching his fist that was shaking violently. It was late in the evening,the very noise could be heard throughout the mansion it self. He stared at the glass cup that was also on the floor along with other files that were scattered along the room. He ran his hand through his hair as he closed his eyes.

The door was then pushed open and a middle aged woman came in, already in her night gown,she looked like she could have an heart attack any moment as her eyes wandered across the room to see the mess that has being made.. She looked at the man in confusion, couldn't understand what was going on

There were glass pieces on the floor that could cut through one's skin if not careful.

Tip toeing inside with her bare feet trying not to get cut by the glass. Her eyes moved between the files on the floor and the man who was mad that she couldn't think of anything that could be the reason.

Worriedly she asked "did something happened?"her voice a little shaky indicating how she was still nervous from the earlier noise. She had been in her room,just coming out of the shower and brushing her hair as she prepared for the night when halfway,the noise came, startling her in the process,her heart is still beating fast and she immediately came to the study to check what was going on only go find such a mess.

"look what you did to this place it's a mess"she sighed bending down to pick the files one by one.

"would you tell me what's going on?"she asked putting some of the files on the table and bending to take another one.

"we might loose the company"he whispered making the woman pause in her steps,she looked at her husband with a confusing look not sure of what she just heard. Although he might have whispered but it was loud enough for her to hear but then not believing what she has heard she asked

"what!" her voice filled with shock but also in hope that she heard wrong.

Standing up straight she stared at her husband who stared at her back ,there was silence for a few seconds before she said"did I here wrong?"

"no you didn't" he said sharply showing how angry he is

"i-i don't understand ..this .."she stammered

"how's is it possible?"she managed to form a proper sentence. There was no way someone could just take away the company like that.

"the Garcia wants to take it away ,the rest son gave me three days to decide willingly otherwise he'll use other methods to get it from me,he said it was never mine to begin with"he explained looking at his shocked wife. She understood the company he was talking about.

"that Mia"she said under her breath but her husband could here it. He recently found out about Mia's relationship with Ryan and he couldn't believe it until he confirmed with his wife and daughter. He was restless when Ryan came to him on his own,shocked when Ryan knew everything he had done to get those properties and company. He knew very well that if he refused to sign the documents,the Garcia could ruin him,they could do anything. He was put in a corner with no escape and all he so much wants do was to deal with Mia with his bare hands.

Those intimidating eyes he saw from earlier was something he couldn't mess with,he didn't want to make things worse from him. His plan on making his daughter a Garcia and a member are coming to pieces. He still had his own company and he sees no other way than to sign the document,he achieved so much in life and was confident he would achieve more but he was thinking of the consequences of not signing"he could loose everything"

Mrs ivy walked up go him placing her hands on his shoulder. It was a big deal to give such a company up after all the advantages it added to their own property and lives. By this time her husband had calm down accepting he has no choice,he didn't want to be left with nothing and he was glad that Ryan didn't know everything about his paste so it was best to keep it that way and comply rather than making things worse.

Leaving the room with his wife having to call the maid to Clean up the mess. Mrs ivy followed her husband to the room and saw him entering the bathroom to freshen up. She sighed to notice her daughter just arriving.

"evening mum"Sasha casually greeted when she noticed her mum's expression"why the face?"asked Sasha

"have you been planning on how to be a part of the family?"her mum asked knowing where this was going.

She didn't want to marry Ryan just because of how he looks but also because of his money and how famous she would get. Being part of the Garcia was all she could think of

"mum ,Mia is just his girlfriend,they are not married yet"her voice filled with confidence as she spoke.

"no matter what you do ,don't get on their bad side"her mum warned when Sasha paused in her steps"I won't"she assured. ivy wondered what her daughter plans on doing now,she felt that there was no more hope for them I. anyway"there could still be a chance"she thought. remembering what her daughter said earlier
