Chapter Twelve.

DIANA

A MONTH LATER

It has been a month since I started attending the institute of fashion, a month since Leonard spoke to me. I mean I should be the one who's angry and not the other way round, we have moved to one of his numerous mansions and believe me when I say that living alone in that huge house is boring, but I do enjoy my peace of mind, there's no Jeanne or his mother to insult me. Leo doesn't come home on time and all am hearing about him on the news is disgusting, how he's jumping from one girl to another. He is literally a manwh*re and this was the same person who told me not to cheat, like I even have the gist to do so. Even if he's unfaithful, and we're in a loveless marriage, I never plan to cheat.

I've made a friend in the institute, Harmony. She is a very bright and cheerful girl, we clicked immediately we saw each other and I strongly believe it was because she was an orphan too.

"Good morning Ana." Harmony greeted cheerfully, bringing me out of my thoughts. Speak of the devil.

"Good morning." I replied with a small smile, and we started walking to our class.

"What's wrong?, thinking about your hubby again." She asked and don't wonder how she knew, I actually told her about Leonard and I mean I needed someone to talk to or else I will go crazy with all these fiascos going on and she listened attentively. She wasn't the judging type and I love her.

"No, am fine." I lied.

"Then why are you sad this bright morning?"

"I don't know, I don't know why, am sad." I said, sighing heavily.

"It's okay, everything will be fine." she hugged me and I gladly accepted the hug. We pulled out after a while before continuing our walk to the class.

We got there and met Daphne and her friends. Can my day get any worse.

"Look who we have here, the orphans." Daphne said mockingly, and her chipmunks laughed.

"It's none of your business if we are orphans, Daphne." I replied, and I still don't know how she got to know about us being orphans.

"Well miss Diana, it's my f*cking business and i wonder how you got into this institute." She said with a frown.

"Maybe one of her sugar daddies helped her." Naomi (one of her chipmunks) chipped in, making them laugh.

"That's not true, am not like someone who has plenty of sugar daddies and I stick to my Leo." I didn't know where that came from, and did I tell you Daphne is obsessed with Leonard? She can literally die for Leo, I mean how can you be so obsessed with someone who doesn't know you, hey fans no offense there.

"I don't know which Leo you are talking but just pray it shouldn't be my Leo."

"We don't have time for this, please excuse us." Harmony said, trying to walk past them, but Daphne held her hand.

"Don't forget that I know where you are working, with just a phone call I can make you lose your three part jobs." She said, smirking deviously.

"Just because you are the mayor's daughter doesn't give you the right to bully on others, you can go to hell for all I care." I said and held harmony's hand as we walked out.

"Thanks." Harmony said, but I waved it off with a smile.

After the training ended, Mr jay walked in.

"Good afternoon." He shouted, and we replied.

"I brought some information and I want you to pay close attention, we are hosting a program for you guys and what is this program all about?" He paused and looked around to make sure we were all listening and continued , "the program is being hosted by LV brand, and it's to showcase your skills and talents in both modeling and fashion, for the past one month you have been taught and given ideas on how to become a good designer so what you will just do in this program is to design your own dress and model it yourself and if the design is beautiful sorry I mean if the viewers approve of it then you will be the one to model and design for LV clothing line next summer which is just a month away. The program starts three days from now so those who are interested should please sign up your names with my secretary, miss Joana. The program will be divided into three stages, the first stage is the elimination where you will be eliminated by the judges, the second stage and then the third stage and let me remind you only the best can go to the last stage, and you know what that means, you are moving to stardom. Until three days time, guys." Me jay said and walked out with his secretary and the hall became noisy because everyone was excited about the program, I just pray I make it to the last stage but who am I kidding we are more than 100.

"Diana are you interested?" Harmony asked and I nodded.

"What about you?" She shrugged.

"I don't know if I'll have the time to come up with three or more ideas in two days with my three part-time jobs, so am out."

We walked to Mr jay secretary's office and I took the form, filled it before submitting it back to her. We left the office and went home and as soon as I got home I took a nice shower to relieve my stress and went to the kitchen to prepare lunch, Leonard didn't employ any f*cking maid in the house not like I care though, but it isn't easy to clean the whole mansion, I think he did this to break me. To see if I'm going to come crawling to him, to divorce me, but no, this bitch is strong.

After eating lunch, I went to 'our' room upstairs to search for my design book where I had more than twenty designs. I'm happy I created some designs for the past few years even when I didn't know when or how I would get the money to enter into an institution, I still draw anytime I'm inspired. After searching for a while, I couldn't find it, I sighed maybe I left it in my old apartment. I groaned before dressing up and walked out of the house, ordered a cab and told him my location.

LEONARD

"Sir, everything is ready." My manager said, and I stood up, walking to the pool for the photoshoot. We wrapped things up after getting the right and I to my studio to change back to my clothes.

"Mr Smiths everything is in order at the institute and Mr jay has gotten sixty-nine students who will be participating."

"Okay, check if any Diana Jackson is participating." I said, buttoning my shirt.

"Alright sir." he said and walked out. I wonder if she'll participate, my phone started ringing, and I picked it up when I saw who was calling.

"Hmmm."

"Sir, Miss Diana just left the house." I arched my brows and asked, "where is she going?"

"Her old apartment…." he said and gasped loudly.

"What's wrong?"

"A man is holding her hand, and she is trying to free herself from him, sir." A man is touching my wife.

"Send me the address ASAP and pay close attention, don't let anything happen to her." I instructed, picking my other phones and car key from the table.

"Yes sir." He hanged up and I rushed to my car.
