Chapter 4 - Déjà vu

Day 5: Sara could hear Yuga screaming her name outside the tent "Sara come out you have a surprise here". When Sara stepped out she was stunned looking at the view. The whole place was covered with snow, rock, bushes, tents was white in colour, Yaks and mule running freely here and there, mountain birds churning . she turned around to get a 360º view. It was like heaven . At that moment Sara forgot all her struggle to reach that place and felt worth coming to this place. Everyone were joyfully dancing in snow, few were busy clicking videos and photos. Sara noticed Sujai was looking at her from a far distance. When he moved toward her she went inside the tent.

As the sun emerged they started trekking, the trail was not that tough compare to other days, Sara was enjoying the view alone. Half of the trail went smooth but suddenly there were drastic climate changes and it started snowing. As they were nearing Lamuney the climate became worst, it was snowing along with the storm. Sara was struggling to walk and no one by her side and she had to be strong at that moment. Praying to God she moved further. At a far distance, she could see a wooden hut and she calmed herself telling "yes I reached". As she neared, she saw a person standing in that storm and with the jacket colour she recognized it was Sujai waiting for her. She felt overwhelmed, He came near holding her hands pulled her inside the wooden hut. Everyone was shivering inside the hut. For the first time, she was experiencing extreme cold. Sujai pulled Sara nearby him so that she can feel warm and Sara didn't ignore him this time instead she felt happy and fluttered.

Sara got to know that Yuga was in the worst condition due to cold and Mohit was taking care of her. So she had to share her tent with Sujai. At night Sara was nervous that Sujai was in her tent, knowing his feelings for her it was difficult for her to stay in same tent. she pretended to sleep but due to the cold was shivering. She could hear Sujai calling her name, she peeped out from her sleeping bag. Sujai asked, "Are you ok?" She replied, "No, I'm unable to bear the cold, I feel like I'm gonna die". Sujai moved near to her and whispered "Would you like to have some rum? it will keep you warm". Somehow she wanted to keep herself warm and not to die in mountains so she agreed. Both started boozing, Sara asked "so you drank Rum every day?" He replied, "I prefer Rum only while trekking just to keep myself warm". After few pegs Sara felt bit warm and she thanked him. Sujai asked "Why did you come alone for this trek?" This time Sara decided to answer him and she told Arjun's story and how timid and miserable she was before coming for trek. Listening to her story Sujai tapped her head in a caring way. Lowering her head , in a feeble voice she asked "Who was that girl you were clicking selfie? Is she your girlfriend?" Sujai laughed at her question, Sara felt shame asking such a stupid question. Raising her head , looking deeply into her eyes he replied , "She is not my girlfriend just a friend whom I met in my previous trekking". Listening to his world she felt a kind of peace and light in her heart. Holding her hands and rubbing it he said "Don't worry, I don't have any girlfriend" and he winked at her. Her heart was fluttering with joy and she felt a kind of assurance by his words.

Day 6: Sara could hear Sujai calling her name and she thought it was in her dreams. Later Sujai tapped her and when she saw it was still 4 AM. With great difficulty Sara opened her one eyes, Sujai mumbled: "Sara get up I have a surprise for you". Sara nodded her head as no and went back to sleep but he unzipped her sleeping bag, pulled her out and forced her to wear her shoes and dragged her out of the tent. It was still dark and Sara got annoyed with Sujai behaviour but he was least bothered. He was holding her hands and guiding her using torchlight. Yelling at Sujai she walked behind him "Sujai have you gone out of your mind, why are you troubling me?" she kept on talking but Sujai dint respond ,he just signalled her to keep quiet. Hugging Sujai's hands Sara walked beside him with half opened eyes . Both were walked for a while in the snow, Sara looked behind and their tent was invisible. She got scared and asked "Are you kidnapping me?" Sujai laughed and walked further she remained silent following him. By then Sara started trusting him. Sujai stopped and asked Sara to raise her head. They both were standing at viewpoint which was surrounded by massif mountains. Sara was intrigued at that moment . Pointing at a mountain Sujai told that is Mt Kanchenjunga and its ranges. Sara felt like she had seen this before and she told "Déjà vu".

Sujai stood in front of her looking into her eyes he said: "I love you, Sara. I liked you from Day 1. I know that you also have the same feeling toward me, that I can see in your eyes". Sara was silent and looking into his eyes. Before she could utter a word, he kissed her and she positively responded to him and both kissed intensely. Sara stopped and was gasping for breath, looking at her Sujai smiled and hugged her. It was time for sunrise looking at mountains, Sara said "Look at the beautiful chemistry between Sunrise and mountain" he teased her, "romantic moment and perfect timing to propose a beautiful girl like you". She looked at him and they kissed again.
