'Was it real?'

Still feeling a strain in her throat, Ruika compulsively takes a hand up to feel her neck again.

'It most definitely was real. So what saved me? How am I alive?'

....

What she didn't know was, when the fierce beast was pushing down hard on her neck, squeezing the last drops of oxygen out of her lungs and brain, she experienced an Awakening!

It preserved her life.

When the blast from the Enouka hit Riuka, it initiated a Vision of the disaster that was to come, should she not find the Enouka's host; the new Enouka.

It was unknown, even to the gods, whether the Enouka had found a new host or not, and of what form exactly that host would be.

Riuka herself knew nothing of what the Enouka was.

She just knew it was the power to save the world from utter destruction, and she was destined; chosen from even before her birth, to find it.

Ruika knew she was born "Seer"; and that her one mission in life was to find the Enouka, and that if she didn't there will come a great disaster that will destroy the world.

Okay. Big responsibility.

Through the 17 years of her life, Riuka was confused. Everyone expected her to know everything, but she didn't even know the basic things about herself.

She had the powers, but they were mostly dormant within her, waiting to be activated.

Before now, with all her visions and dreams, she was only utilising her powers at a 1% capacity, until today.

The Enouka, after she had picked her host, went to slap Riuka's powers awake, urging her on to find the new Enouka.

The time had come.

A threat was coming. The monster was loose already!

Fate's clock had begun to turn.

The call was urgent, and for every day she spent without finding the Enouka, there will be dire consequences.

But the Enouka's methods were too harsh, as the girl did not follow the vision through. Rather than flee, following the Enouka's instructions, she was distracted by the death of some puny humans and stopped to try and save them.

She could not save them because she did not have the power. The only way to really save them would be to find the Enouka.

But the little girl was stubborn, and almost got herself killed!

That was when the Enouka realised... her powers were not even activated yet!

So what was she charging into battle for? Did she want to be sacrificed on purpose?

Well... it was fine.

After all, the Seer needed a near-death experience for her powers to be activated. So the Enouka left her to her death, so she could experience an Awakening!

Phew... tough love.

Riuka passed out and her powers awakened. Taking control of her body, they freed her and tore the monster apart.

Her powers had saved her by instinct, like Avatar Aang in Avatar state!

She was reborn!

But Ruika hadn't left the bed and didn't feel any different, so she wass yet to notice any changes.

She was now an incredibly powerful being, but she had no clue! Here she was, shaking like a leaf, terrified of shadows in her own room.

Presenter: Hello, everyone! 'Welcome to Know Your Gods!'

Today we have an interesting personality here with us. After seeing how badly our cute little earthling princess was tortured, we had to bring her in.

Say hello to the spirit of the Enouka!

Viewers: Woah... (Staring at a golden misty essence, bright, sparkling, swirling about the interview guests' chair.)

Presenter: So... Enouka?... You're here right? *staring at the interview guests' chair covered in golden light*

Enouka: Of course I am! *In a confident, smug, elitist female voice*

(As it speaks, the golden essence swirls, moving a bit.)

Presenter: Alright. We'll dive right into it then.

First, what exactly are you?

Enouka: I am a weapon. One of the rare and exquisite weapons of the Creator.

Presenter: You're a weapon. *surprised*

What kind of weapon? I mean, some say you're a star.

And here, floating in the studio, you look like a spirit. A ghost. You don't exactly look like a dangerous weapon, so which is it?

Enouka: Haha!... *laughs heartily*

Indeed, I am a star. The very first star created. And like most things created, I have a spirit.

I cannot travel the Universe swiftly in the form of a gigantic star, so I travel in this form.

But what I really am... what I was created to be, is a dangerous weapon. The less you know, the better. *smirks*

Presenter: Well, I can't argue with that seeing the incredulous damage you caused to the Cosmos in just less than a minute.

What was that about?

Enouka: As you may have heard, I had to find a new form. My old form as a star is dying. I needed to find one worthy of my power.

The destruction is what goes with these things of course. In the end, I am a star. Stars die in massive explosions. It is inevitable.

Presenter: Whoa... well, that is intense. *blown away*

"Needed to find"... I'm guessing your search was worthwhile.

Did you find a host?

Enouka: Yes, and no.

Presenter: What does that mean? Do you mean to say after all that destruction you still aren't sure if you found your host yet?

Enouka: Not necessarily.

Presenter: But did you find a host or not?

Enouka: You'll see. *smiling*

Presenter: I hope your search has come to an end. The realms can't take much more of your destruction. And I fear there's even more to come.

You set loose a legendary destroyer of worlds. Gorak the terrible! Are you aware of that?

Enouka: I did? Are you certain of this?

Presenter: Your electromagnetic waves switched off his power limiters.

Enouka: Well... I hardly think it is a problem. He would be dealt with by the Keepers. Matters of that nature hardly concern me. *nonchalant*

And if not, then it is imperative that I settle on my host as soon as possible.

Presenter: "..." *slightly dumfounded*

Well, let's talk about the little princess.

Enouka: Oh, she's an interesting one. *pleased*

Presenter: She truly is... but d*mn girl, you spooked that little princess real bad!

Enouka: Yes, I did. But it was more her powers of prediction than me. I only set them off. *shrug*

Presenter: But you left her to her death? Cruel, don't you think?

Enouka: She needed to die! You might call it cruel, but I was doing her a favour. It's about time her powers were awakened.

She's going to need her powers to work at their full capacity over the next few days, if she's going to survive.

You should be thanking me!

Presenter: Huh... *stunned*

Enouka: If that's all, I would be returning to my search. There is no time to waste.

(Swishes away)

Presenter: Wait... we're not-

She's gone.
