Schools

It was October when Daniel received the letter. He had just turned six and celebrated his birthday. To Daniel's suprise the letter was an invitation to join a martial arts school.

Over the next few weeks Daedalus received numerous other invitations and couldn't help but be confused. He knew he had a great physique, but was it really great enough that these schools where practically falling over eachother to invite him. And so Daniel spent the rest of the year doing research into each of these schools.

At the very end of the year Daniel, with the help of mother Frasia the old caretaker, sent a letter to each of the school's asking to meet at a local building. The building was of course rented out to mother Frasia who usually used it to store necessities.

After sending out the letters Daniel spent the remaining time before the meeting cleaning out the dust and cobwebs while also doing some basic exercises to make sure he was in top shape. On the very last night before the meeting Daniel stayed in his room and prepared for talking with them. They where all martial masters from what he had heard and was expecting to feel a lot of pressure so he diligently practised in order to speak without worrying about the pressure.

On the night of the meeting Daniel arrived in a nice outfit that mother Frasia had prepared for him. When he walked inside the clamouring silenced and he took the initiative to speak "Hello, my name is Daniel. I would like to thank you all for coming."

The childishness in his voice caused the martial artists to smile without think and one lady said "Awe how cute." without thinking, only to end up blushing when she became the center of attention for a moment.

Daniel knew his voice was soft but he just couldn't help it, he was a kid after all. Daniel quickly tried to disregard his feelings of listlessness but only ended up causing his frown to deepen slightly. The people in the room seemed to notice his mood souring and so returned to silence in hopes of avoiding him being unhappy.

Luckily it worked and Daniel's smile brightened as he began to speak "I would like to say that, I have done research on each of your schools and if it's not impossible I would like to take my time and go from school to school learning the basics of each type of martial arts before choosing on my main one in the future."

Daniel's words caused a small uproar the moment he finished speaking however he didn't stop them but rather counted how many schools there where in total. All in all he counted out a total of twelve schools, each one of a different martial arts style. It was also perfect for doing one per month and then going to the beginning at the end of the year.

It seemed to Daniel that as the uproar ended the others in the building also noticed this and looked at him slightly questioningly. Daniel simply nodded and said "I think doing one per month is a good idea, it is just a matter of deciding the order now."
