I quickly took my eyes off him after hearing what the demon said.
But shortly after, I looked at the male god who just came in.
"This is just my human form so stop gushing over me".
"Huh"?
That was the only thing that could come out of my mouth. He was so handsome and his voice wasn't helping either. It was deep yet calm. It was like he knew he had control over everything and he had no reason to be agitated or rusty.
But the next thing I heard took every other thought away from my head.
"I'm your monster".
I raised one of my brows not understanding what it was that he was saying.
They all took the cue, knowing fully well that I didn't understand what he was saying.
"I guess you have been hypnotized by this human look that you don't know what is real anymore".
Just as the demon was still talking, the male I thought was a god began to turn into something else.
And there he was, the shapeshifter I saw in my first dream but this time around, he didn't look smoky instead, he looked green and way bigger than I thought he was in my first dream. I looked like a tiny insect looking up at a giant.
After the monster was done telling me to not confuse his good looks for that of a god, he transformed back into his human state.
"I am Kanzoki, the lord of all monsters, and now, you will be my master".
"How can I..."
"I'm Mali, the third daughter of the greatest demon to have existed and of course, I'm the strongest of all my sisters. That's why I'm the one who is most worshipped".
I turned to the goddess waiting for her to introduce herself as well.
"We will all be serving you and fight with you till the very end".
"Who are you"?
She looked at me as though she didn't want to give any introduction.
"My name is Lady Latroid the goddess of the earth".
I noticed that both the demon and the monster looked at each other but before any of them could speak, the goddess beat them to it.
"Sanerra is my twin sister and the goddess of the sea".
"Wait what, Sanerra? You mean the evil one"?
She said nothing else but kept looking at me.
"How are you going to fight your own twin"?
"She killed me, I owe her no sympathy".
I was very amused by how evil her sister was and somehow, I wanted to know more.
I know I wasn't ready to accept my fate but I wanted to know more about these creatures. For some reason, it was very intriguing.
"What about you two, how did you die"?
"Sanerra killed all of us, huh, that sly fox".
Mali said and my eyes opened wide.
"How am I supposed to defeat someone who killed all of you".
"One thing about my sister is, she is a proud coward. She only attacks when you are vulnerable besides, she killed all of us when we were at our weakest but you, it would be impossible".
"What do you mean"?
"Sanerra could have killed all of us individually, but she can never take us all at once".
Mali said. It felt like she was trying to encourage me but it just wasn't working.
"What do you mean all of us? Are you going to be with me all the time? I mean, you all are supposed to be immortals right? And she killed you so how the f*uck am I supposed to defeat someone you couldn't defeat"?
"This is why I don't like you. You always talk like a little scared human".
"I am a little, scared human!"
"No, you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"No, you are not!"
"Yes, I am!"
"Enough!! Both of you, enough".
Lady Latroid said bringing both myself and Mali to stop our bickering.
"Cleo, no one is telling you to fight the evil one now. You still have a lot to learn and you are just beginning to harness your powers. I could already tell that it would take some time for you to get used to your power seeing how much you struggled when your monster wanted to surface".
I turned to look at Kanzoki and then turned back to Lady Latroid.
"You mean what happened to me earlier will happen again".
"Oh come on, it's not that bad unless you try to resist it".
Mali said and I was beginning to think I would not like her much.
She talks too much and almost everything she says pisses me off.
"How do you know it's not that bad? Have you ever turned before"?
"Calm down, there's no need to shout".
She said while using her finger to clean her ear.
"Uhh, you are pissing me off".
I turned away from her and just then, I heard her laugh. Then I turned back with a look that basically said.
'Are you kidding me right now'?
"Well, don't blame me. I'm just glad you are getting used to me".
"How can I ever get used to you"?
"Well, you are not so scared anymore. Anyways, be sure to master your monster state fast".
She said and began coming closer. As she moved closer, she turned her head so I could see her other face and this time around, her second face wasn't normal at all, it was upside down.
It was then that I remembered just how scary she was even though she looked a little bit normal.
"Because, I'm not so patient. Very soon, my demon will be itching to come out from you".
She said with a very creepy face and in my mind, I just knew I had a lot coming. A lot I wasn't sure I was ready to handle.
"Don't worry".
Kanzoki said making me turn to look at him.
"I'll be sure to guide you through the process of bringing me out as your monster so you can bring me out at will".
I quickly took this chance to ask.
"What about the voices in my head"?
I noticed them all looking behind and then bowing and just when I was about to turn, I heard the person speak.
"You have more powers to harness on your own. Powers that you possess without the spirits of the three divinities living in you".
