Chapter 2: Friend or Foe?

The creature hid in a bush transforming into a female as the sun rised slowly into the sky. She wore a old, raggy shirt and ripped shorts followed by shoes with no laces. She stroked her long, black, wavy hair, running her fingers through it. She looked at the village and started walking towards it. She was a bit scared but confident. She got closer to the village and after a couple of minutes, she arrived.

She looked at all the people, wearing no better and no worse clothing than her. Suddenly, a voice shot through her. Another girl went up to her. in a cheeky, playful tone the girl said "Hello! I'm Melody! What about you?" She looked at the ground and whispered in a quiet, shy tone "M-Moonlight..." Melody sighed and then grinned "you don't have to be shy around me! I'm nice and I'm your friend!" Moonlight gave Melody a confused look "F...Friend?" she said curiously. Melody nodded and giggled "We are gonna be great friends.." Moonlight froze for a second in coward-ness and then nodded not really knowing what she has gotten herself into but the thought of "Friends" clouded her mind. "Well I'm gonna go! catch ya later!" Melody said. Moonlight let out a sigh. "Okay."

Moonlight watched Melody walk off, still thinking about "Friends." Moonlight sighed and murmured under her breath "I better find somewhere to stay before it gets dark.." She looked around for the nearest hotel to stay at but there were no open rooms. "The bush it is then" she said. Moonlight set sticks and leaves, making a small stick hut with leaves as the covering. She used pine needles as the bedding and once it was done, she lied down and thought.. "Would Melody be a Friend...? or.. a Foe...?"
