There were no more reinforcements to rely on, at this point. The forces that took the battlefield, the soldiers currently engaging the last wave of demons that slammed the city, were the final obstacle preventing Niven's army from decimating Jade. Everyone in the fight understood this fact, including the demons, as such, they all fought as hard as they could. 

Underleveled soldiers stabbed their blades through demonic torsos, skewering their enemies. Some of their monstrous enemies pushed through, however, and tore their opponents apart with their bare hands. Lust demons cast spells from above, raining fire and ice down onto the human forces who retaliated with both arrows and magic of their own. All of this while Yumi, Sinneah, and even Kasumi, fought their hearts out amidst the chaos.
