Shadows in the Dark

Rory couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She had tried to brush it off as mere paranoia, but the sensation persisted. As she walked home from the abandoned mill, she noticed a figure lurking in the shadows. Tall, lean, and imposing, with eyes that seemed to bore into her soul.

Liam Moonwhisper.

Liam smiled, his eyes glinting in the moonlight. "Let's just say I have my ways of gathering information. And I think you're getting close to something big."

"Meet me at the old oak tree in the town square at midnight," he whispered, before melting into the shadows.
