Truth Be Told Part 31

XANDER'S P.O.V

It has been almost two months living with Noah and was really great. They were like a married couple. Noah has another bedroom he occupied the first few days for comfort but then he realized that he feels more comfortable with his fated mate.

[We live here now.]

His wolf declares. No. This is just temporary. Right now they opt it better for them both to sleep on the same bed. Not just of sexual gratification but Xander's occasional nightmares that did not find him in the arms of his lover.

Noah is one of those annoying morning people who wakes up too early for sense, just to exercise. Madness. Xander usually wakes up two hours later, while his alpha is at the gym. Xander groans getting up, he sluggers to the shower and eventually he makes breakfast. The atmosphere blasted with calming classical music, Noah kissed him and walked past him to take a shower. Xander set the table and he waits until Noah returns. They sit down and enjoy breakfast together. Noah usually does the dishes and Xander spends time ensuring the apartment is organized and clean. The last part is more for his benefit than the alpha.

He cannot hide and run anymore, his best friends have to know who he is. He was nervous and fearful. When he mentioned his decision to his fated alpha was indeed and of course supportive of his decision. Of course he is going to supportive that he is going to be honest and truthful with his friends, the worst himself. When he made the call his fated kissed his fingers and forehead, Xander instantly relaxed.

<<'Leo. Lucas. Jayden's apartment ASAP.'>>

He did it. He actually called Lucas and Leo over...

A FEW HOURS LATER

"Aww... I am honoured that you care about me but go to your friends, I will be fine. Noah, I can do this on my own... Besides with you there I might choke..."

"I can give you something to pre-choke on..."

Noah gave him a suggestive wink and he does despise that fact he did consider the outrageous offer of a futile attempt to stay for the talk. (Knock. Knock). Thankfully the knocks on the door distracts them both from enjoying each other's body once more and he focused of the two figures outside. (Knock. Knock).

"I hope you are fully dressed before opening the dammed door. (Knock. Knock)."

Xander ducked his head suddenly shy, whoever said that absolutely destroyed what was left of their hot moment. Xander opened the door for his best friends to enter while also kicking out, Noah who was reluctant to leave.

"Go. Get out of here Noah. Besides you cannot stay because Jayden called, you have to do Moon stuff... Go perform your duties and responsibilities as a human leader then when you come back...." (Xander winks)

Hook, line and sinker. Noah left him alone in the huge apartment set to talk about his lying for many years, five years to be exact. Gosh how will he start this conversation? Why did he think it smart to chase Noah away?

"You happy? Are you happy living here with Noah?"

Xander did not realize that he was trembling perhaps that is the reason Lucas asked him that question. Shaking his head he finally answers-

"Yes. Yes. I am fine that is not what I called you here for. I called you here because there is something I have not been truthful with you guys about."

As usual Leo cuts him off but is immediately reprimanded by Lucas.

"Were you a woman?"

*Smack* Lucas snacks him at the back of his head and the smaller beta protests.

"Aw. Lucas that was actually painful. That was a legitimate question. What if I become an idiot after this one slap? I just dared ask one question, I honestly do not know how Toby puts up with you. You are a big alpha, bully with a side of mean. Think about it now genius, what if he was a woman and you just offended her? Huh? What if she wants to be with actual man before being trapped with Noah? What if-"

"Leo, I am not a woman and that train of thought is absolutely ridiculous!"

This line of questioning is actually making him extremely fearful for the inevitable. Would his best friends be okay, having an omega as a friend or would this be the end of their friendship? Lucas must have sensed the seriousness and he pulled Leo to sit back.

"Leo. Right now you being as dumb as a chicken. Common just sit the fuck down and listen to what Xander has to say instead of assuming."

Between them all Lucas was the only level headed person the only person who can read the room. The fact that Toby is protective of his close friend Gab can be considered a good thing but also useless battle.

Although realistically Toby with all his might cannot prevent fate and he does probably understand futility as well as the impossibility of even trying. Lucas is bothered by something he can cannot shrug off and it must be his fated mate's words, might be the reason his stricter when it comes to Leo. That is a reason he assumes, Toby did start pestering Lucas to keep an eye on Leo.

Last night Toby called while Xander's was huddled in Noah's strong arms protecting him while they watched a thriller. Noah eventually answered Toby who just wanted to remind Noah to keep an eye on Jayden- (Xander stopped listening). Then something about keep their little brother, Gab (Bluh. Something. Bluh. Boring. Bluh. Not his business. Bluh. He is still talking? Bluh. Oh, his slowing down. Bluh) safe. Unfortunately by the looks of things Toby's efforts are proving to be in vein. Of course it is, that is someone else story it is not fair to change the story-line or prevent their happily ever after.

"I am an omega."

OH shit. To be honest he forgot why he called them here, he decided to say the first thing that can to mind and to say he regretted it would be considered an under statement. For a long moment Silence greeted him. Both man sized him up, stared at him in pure and utter shock before their face cracked. They began laughing. Are they laughing at him? Even Lucas joined his expression truly free. Leo held his head, disappointed as if he just lost money.

"Geez. I am glad I could amuse you."

Leo stopped him on his tracks still laughing as if what he just said was so ridiculous. He knew he should have kept his mouth shut, now his the butt of a stupid lot.

"Xander relax. We are not laughing at you, we laughing with you believe it or not."

His not even laughing! Now truly annoyed he made his way to the door now over this friendship. Lucas stopped in front of the door, preventing him from leaving.

"Dude it is funny because we knew or at least in Leo's case he suspected that you might be omega but it was hard to be sure, so we bet on it (Lucas shrugs). The point is I won the bet… Common Xander we spend a lot of time with you so of course we going to pick up on these subtle hints."

"I bet that you are not because by chance you are, I figured you will tell us whenever you are ready. We are so sorry for laughing we must seem inconsiderate in your eyes."

"No. It is not that, I wanted to tell you guys so many times but I always chickened out. I must be a coward in your perceptiveness. So, my being an omega is not a problem?"

"Of course not. For goodness sake my fated mate is an omega and he will kill me with bluebells if by chance I ever were to have a problem with it (silent treatment with and added bonus of never seeing his naked body). Hell if I am willing to be forcefully abstinent due to this tiny factor of who you are, my friend.... Imagine if Toby finds out if you being an omega is the only reason as to why we are not friends... (He shudders)"

"And I am in love with one... Was I supposed to say our best friend is one?"

"Too late."

Lucas slaps the back of Leo's head again and he protest giving the alpha a pointed glare.

Xander spoke about his trip to go visit what his friends affectionately considered Noah parents as his 'in laws'. He told them some of everything that explains why he is, who he is... It donned on him, he told them things about his very much dysfunctional family.

"I applied for scholarships but it will start next year, so far her husband paid the year's fees and next semester Ora will come to live with us."

The last detail made Xander smile, of course he would never mind having the presence of the nerdy boy in the apartment. There is certainly enough space and the boy can fill their apartment with careless joy.

"Don't worry man, we are here for you and we will figure it all out together…" -Lucas

"Who's Ora?" –Leo

"Oh… His Noah's nephew… His enrolling late because he was uncertain what he wants to study so his taking a mini gap year to figure it out."

"Interesting we will have another junior when he comes, sometimes I feel like these juniors are making me feel old." -Leo

"Dude you barely in your mid-twenties" -Lucas

"You right I still have a good fifteen years to be young and reckless!" -Leo

"Young, that is a laughable stretch and as for reckless you are mated." -Lucas

"I know Lucas but being mated does not mean being trapped in a prison. I will never stray from my fated or mate but it does not mean skydiving is off the table. I have a bucket list I want to complete before I become too old and grey at my young age of one hundred and fifty eight." -Leo

"Anyways before we completely miss the plot I have to admit. I respect Noah more now especially after is initiative to prove himself to you that he can be a good mate."

Lucas comments and rolls his eyes but Xander could tell he meant it so he smiled.

"Don't be hard on him. His great even though he leaves the toilet seat up. Is unable to place the dishes properly in the dishwasher to prevent the dishes from breaking. Guys, I swear it is not rocket science to rinse the dishes before putting it in the dishwasher wouldn't kill anyone. Goddess even his mother complained about the lazy slob and she gave me a few subliminal tips to make sure the apartment is spotless without me being there to pick up after him."

"Cool so you treat him like a dog? I can imagine it (he tried to imagine Noah as a person). Mmm I see the dog theory, believe me when I say; I am surprised Noah does not bark."

"Leo get your head out of the clouds, that is my sorta boyfriend you talking about."

"So. Let me get this straight... You two did not put a title to your relationship?"

"Not really but he regards me as his fated mate or just mate, other than that no. Okay here is the plan I use to motivate him to pick up after himself, I also added rules his yet to know he follows. Everytime he pick after himself he gets a reward. If he place the dishes properly and rinsed in the dishwasher there is a reward, double cause that is where the issue is. There is a rewards for him cleaning and every rule he unwittingly follows."

"That sound like a lot of-"

"Woah! Leo we got it. My least annoying friend we glad you happy with someone, even if it is someone like Noah."

Xander felt like a weight has been lifted off his chest but his friend was not at peace emotionally.

"Thank you guys for the support and to extend my gratitude I made an apple pie as well as a sugar free sponge cake."

"So you decided to take out the happiness from the cake."

Lucas jokes but there was one friend who was truly troubled and Xander did not like how troubled he was. He ate the sponge cake and his version of a homemade pink drink, contemplating a way to bring this topic up after it has already been shut down.

"What is the matter, Leo?"

"I should apologize to you."

Leo suddenly say eyes large and glossy, guess he was not the only one to notice the difference in Lucas behaviour as of lately. Leo must feel guilty for his alphas sudden pressure he is put under to keep them apart from Gab.

"For what?"

"Love."

"Huh?"

Confused at the way he decided to continue the conversation, Xander smiles and is grateful that at least this conversation is taking place. Getting up he prepares the ingredients for his fated's distasteful smoothie he enjoys drinking as a snack and before work outs. Xander took up the responsibility to outsource where he usually bought the drink because of his possessiveness. Focus back on the duo, Xander watched the confusing sight before him.

"In rare cases fate gifts a couple with a tie for them. It is like tandem, without the foundation there is nowhere the bike will go.

"OH, I get what he is trying to say. His relationship has not been going well, due to the incomplete mark there (Leo's mark is not connected). I read and did research on this, one in a ten thousand percent chance that is blessed with a triple moon. They have the double moon since they decided to mate, now that they have met their fated mate their relationship is bond to go well. Am I right?"

Leo nodded.

"Remember when I broke down in front of you? I was in a personal hell, the closer I came to Jay the depressed I got but being too far from him created a gaping hole in me. It was confusing and trailing hell."

Lucas continues because he acknowledged that his friend was about to break down.

"Then the two bozos found their fated, Gabriel. Gabriel who is Toby's friend. Toby's friend whom he is most protective of. I personally don't agree to intervene fates work but my beloved wants no problems to follow Gabriel."

"Leo. No matter what two do… As long as it does not hurt the young omega, I will always support because I know at least you a good guy and you know what that means."

Leo felt relieved that at least his friends are on their side.

"Jayden and I feel so much better. Somehow we convinced him to go out with us this past month as friends. We want to give him a chance to ask us questions."

Toby is definitely pissed none not even his beloved Noah wants no part in intervening with fate.

"My fated. Thankfully still future husband is pouty and withholding my love thanks to my decisions."

"Oh that makes much more sense than my previous hypnotises. Well, let us think of things this way… At least Jayden and Leo are happy, yay."

"Agh Dammit. You right, they are happy. Yay."

"Relax Lucas. He will calm down and you will be back on top besides you cannot support what you do not believe in."

"You guys are my Hero."

Leo jumped them with a massive hug.

NOAH'S P. O. V

"Jayden. What must I do with all these letters? Every time Xander gets a letter from home he becomes very depressed."

Noah frowns and continues his current thought…

"Burn the papers?"

"Wait. Do you not want to know exactly what is making you fated so emotional?"

"I do. Perhaps tonight -"

"Noah stop being an idiot. Cut out the middle man, you holding the papers."

"Firstly that's an invasion of privacy, shit. It is a criminal offense and my-"

"Oh no. One opened. Accidentally. Maybe I should -"

Grabbing the letter from his senior the words shocked him. The words were so powerful it made his wolf sick but prepared. There's no way his wolf nor will he back down from this sickening challenge.

"Jayden I will be taking these back with me. Good luck with your triangle."

All lot of people envied Jayden, little did they know his pressures of have a mate none the less two. Soon when the year begins for them it will be his last year doing his honours. His situationship with a beta and omega, his luck is impeccable, Noah thanks karma.

Making his to the apartment, he ran up the stairs. Reaching his floor he opened the door to see his fated cleaning, his friends must have just left.

"Read this, please."

He jumped when he heard his deep, very troubled voice. Xander took the paper read everything and shrugged handing him the paper.

"Last time I checked opening someone's mail is morality, ethically and according to the law, legally wrong."

"Sorry. I did not mean to violate your privacy. For this last month I collected all of the mail you receive from your pack and hid it in my locker because every time you read them you wind up detached and upset. This is the only one I read. This is the rest of your mail, I will leave you alone now."

He planned on confronting his hurt but Xander is right, his curiosity is unacceptable. He didn't tell him the truth, perhaps he wanted to handle it by himself. His wolf roared his dissatisfaction, it was his job to deal with what Xander couldn't do on his own. He opted to give his fated the benefit of the doubt.
