Ch-69
Lenora arrived at the bedroom, clutching her chest, feeling pangs of regret, guilt, of anger, but the dominant emotion that now churned in her, raging to gush out was pain.
She was hurt, beyond so, as if she heard it had been shredded into pieces and with the pieces stitched back into a whole and forcefully stuffed in her chest.
She felt vacant, hurt, abandoned, unable to trust anyone nor dared to place her trust again.
And as she lay on the bed, where she and her husband once shared pleasant times, of passion, tears streamed out of her eyes.
So...this was how her life turned out in the end. She gave a mocking smile to herself. Leaning back onto the bed, she tried to sleep but the reminder of him asking her to move out of this made her heart break into pieces.
Wasn't he the one who personally cleared and bent all the rules for her to stay in his wing? Now… he wants to go back to the way how they are supposed to be.
