chapter 7 ~ early shift

Hope pov

After I got off the phone with Alex I couldn't stop jumping up and down waiting to know what my surprise is. I hope it's a kitten or a puppy. For some reason I'm always drawn to the pet shop. There's this one kitten that I've been begging Alex to get me. It's a Siamese I call it brownie. Some people say because I'm a werewolf I shouldn't like cats but to me cats are so cute.

But I am a little worried about Alex she hasn't been back for a while and she seemed a little upset on the phone. I just hope she's okay after all she's done everything she could to take care of me and I know it's put her in hard times. I'm just thankful she took me in when our parents didn't want me.

I hope one day my dad gets what he deserves. From what Alex told me my big brother Isaac wasn't always bad until our father did something to make him hate us. I've seen how my mother Acts and from what Alex tells me about mates I think she just did everything because of her mate. The way she showed up here and was acting when she came proved me that she really cared. That doesn't mean I had forgiven her because I surely have not.

I walk into the front room to find Ava there. She was working on some type of crossword puzzle with my wolf vision I saw the name of it with something about wolves. I walk over and ask her what she's doing. I don't think she heard me so I get up and go to the kitchen and get into the fridge and grab the strawberries. I grab a plate and then grab the kids safe fruit cutter that Alex bought me and start cutting strawberries.

I love strawberries they're the best they're my favorite fruit. Once I'm all done cutting the strawberries I grab a banana and I use the kids safe fruit cutter to cut the bananas. Once I was done cutting up the bananas and strawberries I made a cute little face and grab the blueberries out of the fridge with the fruit dip.

I walk over to Ava and set the fruit down and tap her on the shoulder. Is something wrong hope what can I help you with? She asks. Oh nothing I just brought you some fruit I know how you like to snack while you're doing puzzles after all you are just like my big sister even though Alex already took that title. I tell her and head back to the kitchen and get me my own plate of fruit.

As soon as soon as I sit back on the couch I hear a knock on the door Ava goes and gets it. Hello hello madam the alpha would like me to bring you to the alpha house. I hear a man say. There's no way I'm going to that devil's house. She would be very happy she sent me personally take you there. He says.

A she but the alpha is a male exactly he's my father. I say walking around the corner. Alpha Monroe has been overthrown by the true alpha by the moon goddess alpha Roseanne. Wait true alpha, alpha Roseanne that's mine and Alex's last name. I read a book about true Alphas what apparently the moon goddess chooses an alpha if she doesn't see the current one fit. But could it be possibly that Alex is a true alpha.

We will come but if this is a trap just know you'll be dead my sister would kill you. I say and walk out the door Ava following right behind me with a shocked face. She then helps me into the car and then goes to the other side and gets in. While the guy that looks about in his thirties blonde hair brown eyes about 6 ft gets in the driver's seat and drives away.

Did he say alpha Roseanne? Ava asked me. Yep. I say and nod my head she just sits there with a even more shocked facial expression even more than before. I indeed see we're headed the way to the pack house oops I mean alpha House I get them confused sometimes.

As we pull into the alpha House I see a whole lot of pack members and maids buzzing around like bees in and out of the house with all types of furniture and decorations and decor and even wallpaper. I am so flipping confused right now. The guy gets out of the front seat and open my door and bows is having submission to me like I'm an alpha's kid or something.

Technically I am an alpha kid but I was demoted to Omega by my own father who just happens to be the alpha of this pack or he was. My name is Chris alpha I will be your personal guard and escort from now on. Chris says. It's only courtesy to call an child of an alpha alpha 2 because they have it in their jeans but I was demoted to an Omega.

When you are demoted to Omega doesn't matter if you have alpha blood in you you lose the alpha power. So why is he calling me Alpha. I just followed him into the alpha House and to the office. As we are going up to the office I smell chocolate chip cookies. I walk a little faster.

When we get to Chris knocks on the door and a female voice say come in. He opens the door and we walk in and there's someone sitting behind the desk the chair is turned towards the window. I thought I brought the little alpha as you asked. Chris says to the person at the desk. The person turns around and to my shock I see my sister.

Alex? I asked surprised to see her here and being cold outside and the only that but I could feel power radiating off her. Why hello my dear little sister first things first. She says and gets up and walks over to me. I stand there so still stunned and I looked to my right and see Ava too stunned to say anything.

I alpha Alex Roseanne here by promote you hope Roseanne an alpha. She says I crumpled down to the floor and pain as I feel my alpha title being repaired. The pain slowly starts fade away. But we stand up again radiating confidence and power. I see Chris bowed down to me headed submission and Ava bow her head in knowledge since she doesn't really show submission because she's the next queen of vampires.

Before I could tell Chris to stand up and stop submitting to me I fall to the ground and pain again except this one was more intense than the one when my title was being repaired. It felt like every single bone in my body was breaking. I screamed out and irony. And then I heard it every single bone breaking in my body. Alex and Ava's freaking out Chris's running out the door to follow Alex's orders.

I can't hear anything my vision is starting to blur. I just scream again except it was louder. Tears are starting to fall down my face like a waterfall. Before I could scream again someone in a white coat comes and picks me up and puts me on a stretcher. I scream out and paint again as I feel my bones rearrange

It's almost like I'm shifting but even an alpha doesn't shift until they are seven

And me only being soon to be four I shouldn't be shifting but from what Alex told me about her first shift I'd say I'm just shifting.

I hear my clothes rip and a warm feeling spreads where all my skin is it starts at the tip of my legs after I feel my bones being rearranged all the way to my ears. Eventually the pain subsides I looked down to see two white paws I look behind my back to see a white tail I had indeed shifted early.

Alex comes running into the room just to stand by the door stunned. I tried to talk to her but all that comes out as a bark like I was a dog well technically I am because I'm a wolf but still a bark. This seems to break her out of her stunned position. She walks over to me with a proud smile on her face and hugs me.



Hope you're a white wolf just like me. Alex tells me. I hold my head up high with pride knowing that I'm just like my big sister. But I still want to know why I shifted early I wasn't supposed to shift for a few more years. Alex why did I shift early? I asked she just shrugs for the first time I look around in a hospital room with white walls and a picture of daisies on the wall.
