Moon's Embrace

EXCERPT: A letter to Moon Moriarty… "Just like the kingdom where I was given another life, you came and gave me another ray of hope. If you are reading this letter, then I must be long gone from this world, but I want you to know I am still with you. I left a flower in your hands. Please water it and help it grow and spring out in a beautiful way. I hope you will be reminded of me whenever you see her. I want you to train her not in the way we know of, but in the way we would have wanted to live. Help her live a royal life but do not involve her in royalty, for there lies the evil things we may never know of. I know you went to create a world we could live in peacefully and in love, and now, our daughter will be the one to enjoy most of it. Also, I would love if you can take a trip to where we first met. There, I will be waiting for you. In my next life, I will choose you all over again and by then, I hope we meet in different circumstances. I love you. Till we meet again." __Genevieve This is a heart-wrenching tale of sacrifice, resilience and bittersweet romance. This is my WSA 2024 Entry. Support this book with your votes, reviews and comments.

Suspicion

Moon stood by the door and watch Eve who now laid on the bed as the woman tended to her. He thought back on what happened and he was starting to feel he should not have called her. He didn't realize Jomei could be like that when hurt and worse, drunk. He thought he would listen if Eve talked to him herself.

He moved his eyes to look at the woman who moved up to the head of the bed and placed her hands on Eve's shoulders and he wondered what she was about to do.

The woman slightly turned her head to look at him and she asked, "Can you give me a hand?"

Moon took few steps towards her and asked, "What do you want me to do?"

"Her dress," the woman said. "I need to take it off because of the bloodstain."

"No," Moon said immediately. "Don't take it off."

The woman laughed and said, "Don't worry, I'm not charging you for extra care. The man already paid for everything."

Moon pulled his brows immediately. "Who?" he asked.
