Mila

I stirred in my bed, eyes bleary. I blinked, then forced my eyelids to open and take in the light streaming through my window.

What’s going on? Am I late for work? Why didn’t my alarm go off?

Realization crashed into me like a runaway train.

I’m off today. I set different alarms…and apparently nobody needed me to come in on my off day for a change.

I checked and double checked my phone, just to be sure there had been absolutely no messages from the clinic. Finding none, I toyed with the idea of going back to sleep.

But I do still have an appointment to keep. I’m due to spend some time with Lorraine. She arranged a sitter for the kids and everything. I can’t disappoint her.

My belly stirred with excitement, the cause of which I only half remembered. I gasped when the memory flooded my mind.

Oliver…and Lucas…? At the same time? Oh, the possibilities…
