Just to be sure, Kane fired several Water Balls on the spider's left side. His attacks were aimed at the monster's legs, and those made the creature tremble even more since it could barely stand with only six legs. It took five shots and half of Kane's mana, but the creature eventually fell to the ground, unable to keep standing, and he didn't waste that chance.

Kane charged forward without a hint of hesitation, and this time he literally went for the eyes of the creature… in a single instant, he used Steel Claws three times and destroyed the face of the beast.

The spider was resilient. Despite all the damage that had suffered, it was still alive. Unable to get up or see anything, it couldn't even react to Kane's movements anymore… Due to that, he hesitated for a moment. Still, in the end, Kane finished the job because if he had made a mistake somewhere, their positions would have been reversed, and in the worst-case scenario, he wouldn't die with a single attack, but the monster would slowly devour him.

After he received that notification, Kane sighed in relief, at least in his head. He truly was becoming a monster, but it wasn't like he had any other choice. He wanted to live for a few decades, and if possible, he wanted to find his parents, and the only way to do that was to keep killing monsters. For someone who never killed the animals he ate when he was a human, that situation indeed was taken a toll on his mentality.

"All that bloody work for a few points… no, it wasn't just for the coins. I survived and killed one of the creatures that caused me a lot of problems. This world is dominated by the law of the jungle for the better or, the worse."

In any case, Kane still had some job to do… since the spider was hairy and it had poison stored in its body, he hesitated a little bit. Still, he eventually started to eat the monster.

The meat itself wasn't rotten, but thanks to the fur, things got really messy even though Kane tried to get rid of it using his claws. In the end, the monster that caused so much trouble was just a little bit stronger than bats, probably thanks to the compatibility between them. Kane confirmed that after he saw the reincarnation points that he received. Also, in the monster list, a new option had appeared. Kane could reincarnate as a mutant spider now, and the cost was a little higher than it was to become a giant bat and a bloody ant. Still, it was cheaper than to become a goblin.

"I guess it would be weird if I also had unlocked the evolved version of the spider… maybe someday, I will be able to reincarnate in that evolved form, but before that, I will have to evolve on the hard way. Still, even though this fucking monster scared the crap out of me for quite a while, the spider only became slightly stronger after evolving. That much is obvious considering how many points I obtained."

In any case, Kane was quite close to having enough points to become a goblin. However, for the sake of the future, it would be better if he reincarnated as a bat and as a spider first because that way, he would unlock some new skills in the shop. It was risky, but he was pretty sure the skills he could obtain from several species would become useful once he became something that had a true humanoid shape.

Although Kane had just dealt with one big problem, he was already worrying about the system again. Not only that, thanks to what he heard from that annoying voice, but the system was also being utilized to strengthen the dominant species of that world. But after having reincarnated as an ant, he didn't see any of the humans from there. So, he began to worry if he wasn't just being fooled or if he concluded things without enough evidence.

"Whichever the case… it doesn't change the fact that I want to live, and there is only one way to keep living in this crazy world. It is by fighting to live every single moment… Although it is a pain, it is the price I have to pay for having the chance of living again outside Earth."

Kane couldn't imagine himself getting rid of his worries just by thinking about them, so he decided to move on. Instead of worrying about the things that might be happening, his first goal was to leave that dungeon and eat something that wasn't the monster's flesh and drink something that wasn't the monster's blood.

After walking for a while, Kane finally found the first dead end after walking in a straight line toward the north. He retreated a little to confirm the same thing that happened several times. He moved to the west, only to find another random spider protected by several threads. Although that thing would cause some problems for Kane if it evolved, he was more interested in the fact that he was in the northeast section of the dungeon. For some reason, the chances of Kane finding spiders in a dead-end on the west side of the dungeon were relatively high, so it was safe to assume that they spawned there. However, that also meant that the exit of the dungeon wasn't on that side.

"I appeared in a dead-end south of here and soon found another dead-end west of there… so I was on the southwest side of the dungeon. I don't know if I was unlucky in appearing in such a place or if it was intentional, but it looks like the exit was on the opposite side. In the end, it would be too weird if I spawned near the exit and didn't almost die several times."

Kane sighed; the dungeon only had weak monsters like bats, spiders, and ants, but it was so big that he only explored a single side of the dungeon after running around for a full day. Regardless, that also means that Kane would find the exit once he walks for two or three more days… hopefully.
