Chapter 65: Training or Hunting?

"Good kill Allen. Kathy, you will have to imbude your lightning affinity to the bolts to get good result" Kamran said to them after confirming that the rabbit did not move.

"What if we run out of mana when fighting the monsters?" asked Kathy looking at Kamran.

"That's why I have these. These will help you recover your mana and heal your injuries slowly." Kamran said showing the bag he purchased from aunt Anita.

"Don't we use potions for them, how can they create candies, that too one candy can recover mana and health." said Allen. His voice couldn't hide his surprise and exitment.

"In Bogi, they have potions too, but aunt Anita is an Alchemist who is good in this entire town in creating new methods. One of them is this candy which will recover our health and mana." said Kamran with a smile.

After a few minutes, they started hearing rustling sounds nearby plants. They could deduce atleast five mutated rabbits coming towards them and that too with great speed.

"You have the first blood of these monsters now. Now be prepared to fight multiple mutated rabbits at the same time." said Kamran with seriousness in his voice clearly heard. Allen and Kathy prepared their crossbows and were ready to kill any monsters that comes out of the vegitation.

They were shocked to see about 10 rabbits coming out of the vegitation with red eyes. They could see the anger and madness in their eyes when the saw and smelled their compatriot's blood and his death.

Allen and Kathy started using their crossbows and fired repeatedly on those mutated rabbits. They did not show fear on their faces, but they were scared to the core when they looked at the bloodshot eyes of those rabbits.

These mutated rabbits were a bit different than the one which the killed before. Their eyes were dark red. Their two teeth which were sharp as a knife hand blood stain at the end. Their normal fur color were completely changed to black color and their strength has increased by several fold.

The nails at their foots were very sharp and they were in dark red color. The nails were two inch longer than the normal rabbits which they use to stab their prey and kill them with sheer strength.

But their agility was little less than the normal rabbits and it was easier for them to aim and shoot their bolts. But if these rabbits come close to them, they will be seriously injured with no doubt.

The imbuded their bolts with their elemental affinities but still they were unable to kill them in a single shot. They didn't know that the rabbits that they are trying to kill are in high level private stage. Two levels hight than them.

"Focus. Increase your elementals to your weapons." Kamran said as he gripped his spear as the rabbits were getting closer and to them without much hindering.

Allen and Kathy were infusing as much as mana they could into their crossbows to increase it's damage and penetration. But unless it is a headshot, the rabbits didn't get any fatal injuries even in their soft spots.

Allen started his mana exercise after a long time since his attacks even with his wind element proved useless against these mutated rabbits.

He had to start from 1st set 1st move because of new mana purifier and pet. Event though he already had completed more than 5 sets, it was difficult for him and very painful.

Once he started mana exercise he was able to aim more precisely and it was easy for him to do head shots every time he shot he's crossbow. He passed this information to Kathy so she could also gain benefits of mana exercise.

Once they started performing the mana exercise, it was easy for them to kill the rabbits that came to attack them. After killing the last rabbit, Allen noticed that Kathy's hand was shaking due to the pain caused by the exercise.

He patted her shoulder with a smile to let her know he is there to support her. Kamran was happy to know that his brother and sister are supporting each other in times of need which he didn't get when he was new to this world.

Kamran summoned his pet 'Gieger' and told Kathy and Allen to summon their pets too. Daisy and Jack came out and were excited when they felt the freshness of the environment.

Kamran gave few candies from the bag he got from aunt Anita to Allen and Kathy so they can replenish their mana soon before the 3rd wave of rabbits attack. He also gave 1 candy to each of their pets so they could enjoy it before they fight.

Kathy and Allen were not sure why they had to replenish their mana since they haven't used more than 37% of their mana during the 2 waves they have fought.

"Things are going to get hard from now. Allen, do not touch your sword until I ask you to. Myself and our pets will take care of the rabbits that come closer to you two." Kamran said and Allen could feel the seriousness in his voice. He nodded his head to let Kamran know that he will follow his advise.

Both Allen and Kathy asked their pets to follow Kamran's orders without any delay when given. Allen also asked Jack to fly above them so he could be in a safe distance from the rabbits. Allen was wondering if they were training now or hunting lower level monsters for fun.

Kathy and Kamran doesn't have to worry about their pets since both are pandas with good attack and defence due to their strength. But Jack being a bird, he only have good attack power and near to zero defense. He has to rely on his agility and distance for his defence.

Jack gave a heads up to the team to let them know that the 3rd wave of the mutated rabbits are fast a few seconds away from their current position.

Gieger and Daisy took defensive postures standing next to Kathy and Allen while Jack flew in circles above them. Jack could use his AOE attacks to help the team whenever necessary to controll the rabbits if they come in a large quantity than expected.
