Chapter 4: Graduation Ceremony

One week passed just like that.

The graduation ceremony will start in the evening. Since the village is small, only 12 students are graduating this year. This is the average amount of students who graduate every year in Kol village.

Being an average student in studies, Allen is ranked 7th in the class. His classmates have different types of monsters with the abilities to defence, offence or both.

The students don't show pride due to the monsters they tamed as all the pets will be able to reach Master Sergeant level if opportunities are provided. But since Kol is near a low-level monster area, most of the monsters are in the Specialist stage only.

While they were waiting for the ceremony to begin, Allen saw that some students are nervous, and scared. But he could see the excitement in their faces.

The graduation ceremony starts:

"Welcome students and parents. Welcome to the people who have come to encourage the future generations." The principal started.

"Today, you will complete your school life and step into a world full of wonders. There are also dangers included, but you will prevail as you, students are the best batch we have ever had educated" she said.

"You will come to the stage with your tamed monster and follow the instructions provided and when you get down, you will be integrated with your monster which will be your pet" she added at the last of her 2 hours speech.

Hearing this, the students went up the stage and stood in a line. 12 teachers stood next to each student with a tray having sterilized needles, a tiny glass tray and a wooden box.

This stage is special as it has a symbol drawn in on the floor. This is a magic sign that will make the integration success rate reach 99%.

There is a possibility of the integration failing and the students who fail have to either try to tame another monster or get more involved with their current monster.

The sign on the stage will reduce that possibility and makes sure everyone is integrated successfully.

The teacher next to Allen started the integration process by taking the needle and poking one of his fingers. Seeing that Serina growled with anger. Allen immediately petted her head and comforted her.

Serina is always protective of Allen. She never lets any stranger to even come close to him. She always fears that something bad might happen to him.

The teacher poked Allen and Serina. She collected a drop of blood from both in the glass tray. The blood drops were at least an inch away from each other.

The blood got mixed on the tray when the teacher drew a sign under it and then split it into two due to magic in the glass. The blood drops then floated in the air for a few seconds and merged into the forehead of both Allen and Serina.

Once the blood merged into Serina's forehead, she turned into a bright light and went into Allen's chest becoming his pet.
