Chapter 20

It was a couple of minutes earlier; the gang were on the highway still as Franklin was driving and Garry was on the passenger seat. The team were in the backseat, making sure they had their gear ready.

"Everyone has their mini-med kit?" Scarlet asked.

"Yep." Marcus replied as they all had small but cute med kits that Scarlet made.

"What flavor are the healing potions?" Garry asked.

"Grape for this batch. And Violet had blood as usual." Said Scarlet.

"I love you." Said Violet as she side hugged her.

"Ugh, grape." Garry responded in disgust.

"Just deal with it, Gare." Said Marcus.

Garry pouted for a second, until he noticed Franklin tapping his finger anxiously and rapidly on the steering wheel.

"Hey, you good, big guy?" Garry asked.

"Y-Yeah. Just nervous to see her." Said Franklin.

"Ah, understandable. So…she cute?" Garry asked.

"W-What!?" Franklin responded as he swerved the car.

"Whoa!" Everyone responded.

"Easy, Frank!" Marcus shouted.

"Yeah, My heart is beating a mile!" Said Scarlet.

"Yeah." Iris added.

"That's my bad, guys." Said Garry.

"It's not like that! I mean, yeah. I had a little crush on her. But she preferred her work than me. That's why I never tried anything with her." Said Franklin as he looked sad.

"Oh, you big lug! C'mon. Gare bear is here." Said Garry as he hugged him.

"Pff, Gare bear." Said Violet.

Suddenly, they heard lightning crack in the forest as the others looked out their windows.

"Yeah, that definitely did not come from the sky. It's not even cloudy." Said Garry.

"I know who it is. Everyone strap in! I'm going full speed!" Franklin shouted.

Franklin stepped on the accelerator as Berta drove off, while everyone held on to their seats. Garry flew back into the other seat and crashed into Marcus as caught him in his arms.

"Weird thing to say, but I feel safe in your arms." Said Garry.

"You had to make it weird." Said Marcus.

Meanwhile, Dr. Frankenstein shot a bolt of electricity at Isaac as it shocked him. Dr. Frankenstein them snapped his finger as the giant swung its foot at Isaac. But Lisa stood in front of him and stopped its foot with her bare hands and pushed it back. The bladed monster tried attack them, but Jennifer got in its way and blocked its blades with her sword.

"Isaac, get Valeria as far away from here as you can! We can handle them!" Said Lisa.

"Are you sure?" Isaac asked.

"Go! Remember your objective!" Said Jennifer.

"Come on, Valerie!" Isaac shouted.

Isaac got back up as he grabbed Valerie's hand and started to run. He pressed a button on his wrist device as his motorcycle drove to his side as they both got on. Isaac drove off as Dr. Frankenstein sighed as he snapped his fingers. The second giant bolted off and ran after Isaac and Valerie as Dr. Frankenstein casually followed Isaac's trail.

"Where do you think you're going!?" Jennifer shouted as swung her sword at Dr. Frankenstein.

But his bladed monster shield him, blocking her sword with its blades. Dr. Frankenstein chuckled in a mocking way as he kept on walking, not glancing at Jennifer.

"Don't underestimate my creations. They are a handful." Said Dr. Frankenstein.

The bladed monster pushed her back as we see Isaac driving fast through the forest as the second giant was on his tail as it moved fast for something it's size.

"Guys, where are you!? I need some help!" Said Isaac through his coms.

"We're on our way! Isaac is driving through the woods, guys." Said Scarlet.

"Garry, take the wheel!" Said Franklin as he jumped out of the car.

"Dude, what the hell!?" Garry shouted as he frantically took control of Berta.

"Franklin, where are you going!?" Marcus shouted through the coms.

"Sorry, but I have to make sure she's alright." Franklin responded through the coms.

"He's going to need backup. Violet, watch over everyone for me." Said Marcus.

"Yes, sir!" Violet responded.

Marcus jumped out of Berta, changing into his semi werewolf form and ran on all fours through the forest. He and Franklin ran together, while Jennifer was blocking the bladed monster's arms as it was striking her fast. The monster kept on going, until Jennifer's defense broke as she was wide open. The monster thrust its arm at her, but a whip was wrapped around its neck. It was Lisa as she hurled the monster to the giant, crashing into its leg. The giant monster groaned in pain as the bladed monster recovered back on its feet. Lisa and Jennifer stood together as the monster stood ready.

"Jennifer, why aren't you using your magic?" Lisa asked.

"You know my reasons. I only embrace the knights in me." Said Jennifer.

The giant charged at them, until Berta burst out of the forest with Garry behind the wheel. Berta drove towards Lisa and Jennifer as Lisa threw herself at Jennifer, tackling her away. Berta drove passed them as Garry crashed into the giant, while it was trying to stop it with its bare hands. But Garry stepped on the accelerator pedal and forced the giant to slid backwards, until it crashed against a tree. The giant was knocked unconscious, while Garry was tightly holding onto the steering wheel.

"If Franklin asks, it jumped in front of me." Said Garry.

But the bladed monster jumped at the front window, scaring Garry as he screamed like a girl. It thrusts its arm through the window shattering it. It's arm almost hit Garry, until Violet shadow dashed to it and dropped kicked the monster in the face. Her feet knocked it out of Berta as it flew back but recovered by impelling its blades into the ground.

"You better have cash. Windows aren't cheap. Also, what the hell are you supposed to be?" Violet asked.

"It's an enhance creature made by Dr. Frankenstein!" Said Lisa.

"For really?" Violet replied as she turned towards them.

The monster took this moment to strike as it swung at Violet's head. But Violet back spin kicked the monster in the face, hitting it on the right cheek. The monster then swung at Violet multiple times at a fast speed. But Violet dodged all of its strikes, until it thrust its right blade at Violet. But she stomped down on the blade forcing it to impel the ground.

"You're fast, but not fast enough." Said Violet.

It then thrusts it's left arm at Violet, but she pushed the arm off to her side and punched the elbow. She broke it as it screeched, until Violet grabbed it's head and slammed it's face into her knee. It immediately fell unconscious as it fell back, while Violet flipped her hair.

"Piece of cake." Said Violet.

Back with Isaac and Valerie, they were still driving on Isaac's motorcycle. Until the giant fired a bolt of lightning at them. It hit the ground near them as the impact knocked the back of the motorcycle sideways as they both fell out of the bike. Isaac rolled and recovered back on his feet as he ran to Valerie as she was lying on the ground, trying to get back up.

"Are you okay?" Isaac asked.

"Yes." Valerie replied.

But the second giant approached them as Isaac stood ready to defend Valerie, but he was hit by a surge of lightning that shocked him to the ground. But it kept on shocking him as he was paralyzed, while Valerie noticed a small device on his skin.

"Isaac!" Valerie shouted.

"Don't worry. It's not going to kill him. But he is going to be down for a good minute. Now then, Valerie. What do you say? Are you with me? Or against me?" Dr. Frankenstein asked.

Dr. Frankenstein held out his hand to Valerie as she only glared at him, while her pet ferret hid within her shirt.

"No. I will not help you. I used to admire you. You have a great mind! But I soon realized that that you are twisted and cruel! I refuse to go with you!" Valerie yelled.

Dr. Frankenstein lowered his hand, while approaching her. Valerie walked backwards, until she bumped into a tree as Dr. Frankenstein was close to her face. He stared straight into her eyes as she looked afraid, while her hands were on the tree.

"I always loved your eyes. You have grown more beautiful." Said Dr. Frankenstein as his hand was on her cheek.

"Stop…" Isaac groaned.

But Dr. Frankenstein snapped his finger as the giant slammed it's hand on Isaac's back. He was in pain to the point that he couldn't yell out in pain.

"But if that's the way you feel." Said Dr. Frankenstein as his tone changed.

He then grabs her from the neck, choking her against the tree. She struggled to free herself as Dr. Frankenstein grabs his cigarette and tosses it away.

"Then you are in my way." Said Dr. Frankenstein.

"Let go of her!" Franklin yelled.

We see Franklin punch Dr. Frankenstein in the face, knocking him away. Marcus bolted at the giant and punched it in its face as it removed its hand from Isaac. Valerie started to faint from the choking, but Franklin caught her, before she landed on the ground.

"Hey, stay with me, Val." Said Franklin.

"Franklin…?" Valerie responded, slowly coming to.

"You okay, boss?" Marcus asked.

"Yeah, just need my potion. Ugh, grape." Said Isaac as he looked at the battle.

"It's been a long time, Franklin. I see you've grown. I remember when you used to be a scrawny, little lad." Said Dr. Frankenstein.

"And you're still an asshole. I'm going to make you pay from what you did to her!" Said Franklin.

"I'd like to see that." Said Dr. Frankenstein.

Isaac stood back up and pulled out his pistol, Marcus stood ready on all fours, while Franklin placed Valerie down against the tree. But Frankenstein snapped his finger as the giant stood next to him and lowered its head to him.

"You've done well. But I'm going to need your power." Said Dr. Frankenstein.

He then thrust his hand into the giants head, shocking the others. He then yanked out a part in its head as it was orb like metallic object that had glowing holes as it was surging with electricity. The giant fell and died on the ground, until Isaac opened fired on Frankenstein. But the bullets curved around Dr. Frankenstein. They were surprised, until he crushed the object as he absorbed the electricity to his body.

"Shall we begin?" Dr. Frankenstein asked.

"Yeah, he would get a power up." Said Marcus.

But Franklin activated his inner tesla as he surged with lighting. Frankenstein then bolted up Franklin in a flash as he punched him across the face, knocking him through the forest and into many trees. Frankenstein then shot a quick bolt of lightning at Isaac without looking at him. Isaac tried dodging, but the bolt hit him, shocking and paralyzing for a couple of seconds. Marcus swung at Frankenstein, but he didn't move as he had an electric barrier shocked Marcus before he could land a hit. He smiled as Frankenstein kicked Marcus on the face as he flew away and crashed into a tree.

"I'm not seeing why Richard was so concern about you. You all lack so much power, that I don't think it's enough to stop me." Said Dr. Frankenstein.

But Isaac got out of his paralysis and aimed his pistol at Frankenstein.

"We may lack…" Said Isaac.

He then opened fired as Frankenstein looked at him unamused, while the bullets curved around Frankenstein as he had his hands in his pockets.

"But we make it up with our numbers." Said Isaac with a smirk.

Frankenstein quickly tried turning around, but Marcus broke a log on Frankenstein's head as he was stunned. He was disoriented for a second, until Franklin bolted to him and rammed his fist into his face. Franklin gave it his all as knocked Frankenstein away. But Frankenstein grabbed the ground with his hands, stopping himself. He stood up as the skin on his hand was ripped off as it was artificial skin that was covering a cybernetic hand.

"Interesting." Said Frankenstein, slightly impressed.
