Planned Attack

"Uhhhg..."

"What happened?" Kabuto Keizo questioned himself as he held his head. The pain was so severe that he sat there for several minutes holding his head, listening to his pounding heartbeat. "I was about to watch Anna change and..."

|Accidentally banged my head on the tree out of excitement|

"Yeah, that's what happened! Damn it, I wasted such a good opportunity! I gotta return to the base!"

Jack, me, and a group behind me smiled. This is gonna be easier than we thought. As we see him activating {Invisibility Level 5} and running off, we followed with me at the lead.

We continued following him for around a hour while he ran to a different island. Finally, he paused at a specific spot in a forest. He looked around him, checking if anyone was around, but of course, all of us were expertly hidden. Then he tapped the ground three times, as he was teleported under the ground.

I activated {Omnipotent Parasite Level 7} and listened in on their conversation.

"What have you done Keizo!?"

Keizo looked at the masked man and was confused.

"Wh-what do you mean boss?"

"There's five people foll-"

I cut off the connection.

"They found us out!" I yelled to the group following us.

"Good. We'll finish it from here"

"Thank you, officers."

"Not a problem. It's just our job." A police officer with dark hair and a kind face smiled, then tipped his hat. "Back up a little bit" his colleagues groaned and ran for their lives. Me and Jack followed. He then got into a form for maximum strike efficiency and took a deep breath. He then charged up his right fist with so much energy that it grew red hot {Demolish Level 5!}. He then slammed that very same fist on the floor. The ground rumbled as a crater the size of a football field was created. I marveled at the power he had.

"Seriously!? You just had to show off!" A blond woman with pretty eyelashes complained. "Now, now let's calm down for a bit." A man with dark turquoise hair sighed and tried to calm the two that was about to get into a fight. "We have some criminals to catch". As if waiting for that line, a mob of people wearing dark clothing charged at the dark hair officer with a guttural cry. All of them were S+ in power.

The dark haired officer groaned as if his colleagues were annoying and unleashed his aura. I looked on with amazement. SS rank power. With his experience and skill, even if I teamed up with the 40-or so S+ people charging at him we wouldn't stand a chance.

「{Power of Legend Level 2} has been activated!」The black haired man charged up {Demolish Level 5} this time so much that his entire arm grew white hot. "I don't think this'll kill you, will it?" He frowned. "Don't die yet, because I'm still holding back" The mob continued forward, as he unleashed this devastating punch. A shockwave popped my ears and threw me against a tree behind me, completely pulverizing it as I continued flying back. I was about to get thrown in into the ocean while I panicked. I can't swim! I was about to unleash my aura until the turquoise hair caught me. I looked up in shock. He tore down half of the entire island with one punch.

"God damn it Takeru! I told you to not show off!" The blond lady ran over and punched Takeru in the back of the head, as a comedic bump started rising up on his head. "Shut up! I held back didn't I!?" "YOU shut it! You could've killed them!" As they continued to bicker, the turquoise hair just sighs and said "This happens every single damn time". He teleported back to the place they fought and glared at the both of them, causing them to shut up in a instant. Using psychic powers, he carried all the bodies out of the hole, while fixing the landscape. "Takeru, you just wasted a hour of my life". The bold Takeru is now but a child in front of the turquoise hair. "S-sorry boss".

"You better be".

Suddenly, a man popped up behind the blond lady with a knife to her neck. "Don't move unless you want her throat slit". He seemingly just popped out of her shadow. It was the man with a mask that Keizo was talking to before. Keizo called him 'boss'. Takeru and the Turquoise hair looked at the newfound hostage and had a worried look in their faces. They didn't move a inch. The masked man had a victorious look on his face. "Kneel and put your hands behind your backs". "Please don't do it" pleaded the Turquoise hair, following the masked man's instructions. Takeru however, laughed. The turquoise hair looked at Takeru and glared. Takeru ignored Turquoise hair and threw a rock at the masked man, narrowly missing the blond lady.

"Do you think this is a joke!?" Yelled the masked man. "If that's what you want, fine!" He sank the knife into the blond lady's neck. Except for the fact that the knife broke off with a clank. The masked man looked dumbfounded, as the lady strike the man's face, slamming him to the ground. She unleashed her aura, then threw another punch, one equal to Takeru's previous punch. The punch completely smashed the island this time.

The shockwaves came. But this time, I was ready with my aura activated. It pushed me back a step, but that was it.

As the Turquoise Hair cried in anger of the work he's gonna have to do, the blond hair lady and over to beat Takeru, while he ran away.

Well, that ended quite well.

I looked at my new system message.

「As the Party leader, your party have vanquished the Human Sacrifice Cult! As a system bounty quest, you get rewards from the system!」

Jack shuddered at the thought of what would happen to his daughter if he didn't find out about them early on.

I looked around. Everyone has received more or less the same message.

The officers declined on the reward, having to forcefully drag away Takeru from begging. I offered the reward to Jack, who declined as well.

"It's all yours, John."

Well, they'll definitely regret their declination if they knew what the reward was. I grinned and looked at the message of what I just got.
