'Ten seconds,' I thought and waited.

It had been three days since I had come here and every three hours; I have been feeding the tree with the power of my constitution.

Now, I am feeding it something else. Something artificial with 25% of my constitution's power. 

My constitution is strong, and I could have easily fed it the power for months without being affected, but why should I? Besides it is no trouble; it didn't take much time for my clone to find the solution.

Finally, ten seconds passed, and the disk buzzed and the red runes on me lit up a crystalline shine before they pulled the power and transmitted it into the disk.

The new people are only feeling a slight pain as this absorption, but the oldest are struggling. It is extremely painful for them, but they are controlling their screams because if they scream, they will be hit with even bigger pain.
