I opened my eyes and got up from the moment I had; all the eyes of the Grand Lord fell on me. "Michael come, take a seat," said Matron Mavis, offering an empty seat opposite her.
"Thank you, Matron," I said and appeared by the seat before sitting on it.
"From all of us, I once again want to thank you; if not for your timely appearance, we would have needed to take some drastic action that would have had bad consequences," she said, casting a glance at Lord Hern before turning back to me.
"There is nothing to thank me for; what I did was my duty," I replied with the same words as I had replied earlier.
"You were always reliable; I wish these old women had the insight to take you at the same time as that little girl," she said softly and got the look from Lady Vivian.
