Kingdom of Astrea: The Grand Palace.
***
The Sage of the church came to visit the king and queen of the Astrea. To inform what he has seen in the divination book. A divination book is a powerful one that allows a sage to see what is will occur in the future. This comes down to a simple word called Prophecy.
The king and queen of the Astrea believe if they follow the words in the divination book, an abundance of prosperity they will receive in the coming future.
Once the book told them to abandon their own child who possessed a Mono-kouneli syndrome for it was ascertained that the mono-kouneli child will bring misfortune and a bad omen that will bring the whole kingdom to its doom.
However, today. The sage had happily informed a very important message that the words in the book were changed.
"Your Majesty." said the known Sage.
The sage was wearing a black robe with a white sash. His face is covered in dark shadow, no one has ever seen what does the sage's facial appearance looks like. It is strictly forbidden for a sage to show his face to anyone else including the royal family.
"Sage. Hm, it's been a while!" the king happily welcomes the sage's presence. "Thanks to you. Look how prosperous my kingdom is!" the king's laughter has echoes in the grand palace.
The queen only smiles at him as his support.
"I am glad to be useful in your kingdom. Your Majesty." the sage humbly took the king's words so kindly. He even bowed down his head.
"So, tell me. What have you come here for?" The king has immediately come down to the topic where he was seeking the reason for the sage's presence.
The sage made a little smirked within himself. He was very aware of the king's true nature. The nature of impatience, and hostility.
"Your Majesty. I have come here to inform you that the book of divination has changed."
"What do you mean by change? What has been changed?"
"You have to bring the Mono-kouneli child in the palace—"
"That's absurd!"
The king immediately opposed what has the sage said. He even stood angrily on where he sits.
"You said if we throw that child—the kingdom will be blessed, and so that's what we did…—"
"The book wants you to bring him back. Do you question our divination?" but the sage raised his voice when he replied to the king. The king doesn't have any choice but to shut his mouth.
"Lock him inside the castle. The book has another mission for you, King." this time, the sage stopped respecting the king. He stood firmly right in front of the royal family.
"You must slay the white-haired girl who's residing your Kingdom. One must not have contact with the Mono-kouneli or a great omen will fall in the kingdom, enough to meet its doom."
"W-what…" the king and queen now grew more aware that there is a white-haired girl in the kingdom that must be disposed of.
While the king was discussing the matter with the sage. A young boy was eavesdropping from the distance. He was solemnly staring at nowhere, silently learning the kingdom's situation.
"A white-haired girl…" he said to himself. "She must be a beautiful one. It'll be a waste if she's only going to die because of the lies that have been taught by the Sage."
He then lowered his head while thinking a deep thought.
"You have to slay her in the day where the sky is lit up with the fiery lights." the sage carefully instructed, "In the same day. You must acquire the Mono-kouneli and lock him in the room. Don't let the two of them meet," he added.
"...Fiery lights? You mean, the lantern festival?" the king indemnified the meaning of the word that the sage has muttered. The sage accordingly nodded.
The young boy from the background just sighed as he decided to leave the room.
"I wonder what will that sage going to do if I save that young girl, he speaks so ill?" as the young boy thought something against the sage. He then snickered to himself, hahaha! And his laughter had echoed in the hallway of the castle.
