Agreement?

As Sun Wukong slowly opened his eyes, he was met with a white ceiling and the smell of disinfectant which bombarded his nostrils. After a couple of seconds, he turned his head after hearing a few crunches coming from his right.

Only to be met with a red-haired girl with green eyes, slicing a few apples. After noticing movement, she switched her gaze from the fruit to the injured young adult on the hospital bed.

"You're awake. How are you feeling?" Said the girl in a dead tone.

"That depends. Are those apples for me?" Asked Wukong as he stared at the fruit. Fruit was one of the many things he especially enjoyed.

Without saying anything she picked up the plate of sliced fruit and handed it to him. Seeing this, Wukong sprang up from the bed, ready to indulge, before feeling a searing pain run through his body. After looking down he saw that his ribs had bandages wrapped tightly around them.

"You were asleep for 3 days. You… you almost died." Said Jean, letting slight emotion seep through her words.

"3 days! It seems I've pushed this body far past its limits." He thought.

"Even with the few mutants healing you and with Mr McCoy, you were barely able to make a full recovery."

Wukong didn't say anything as he continued to eat his fruit. He knew that he had taken it a bit too far, however, his emotions got the better of him. The bottled anger and frustration he had been feeling ever since entering this world, and even before that, had been released at that moment.

As he thought this, the door swung open and a few people came in.

"You're awake." A familiar bald man entered the room in a wheelchair as he was accompanied by Hank, Scott, Bobby and Ororo.

"How are you feeling?" Asked Hank.

"I'm hungry." Replied Wukong.

After he said this, the room fell into silence, with the only things that could be was Wukong's crunches as he ate his fruits and Hank's tinkering as he held a stethoscope to the patient's chest.

"Illian, I understand that training is important and that desire to gain strength might overpower you at times. However, you must also remember to put your well-being first." Said, Professor Xavier.

"Yeah, what were you even trying to do? How could you expect to beat a thing like that?" Added Bobby.

"There's no point in training if you can't even live through it." Said Ororo.

Before the rest of them could chime in, Wukong started to speak. "Can I use the bathroom?" He asked.

After a few seconds, Xavier nodded his head. As he got up and closed the door to the bathroom…nothing. 5 minutes, 10 minutes. The others were left standing in the same position, left wondering what was going on.

"Illian, are you okay?" Asked Ororo as she knocked on the bathroom door.

"Wait a second, why did he go in the bathroom with his staff?" Pointed out, Scott.

After seeing this the others looked at each other as they had just now realised. Ororo broke open the bathroom door with anger, only to be met with an empty restroom with an open window.

"He's gone." Pointed out Hank as Ororo was boiling with anger. Professor Xavier stared at this with a face of indifference as behind him, Jean had her eyebrows raised in surprise. After a couple of seconds she unknowingly smiled as beside her, Scott noticed her grin.

Wukong walked through the hallways as he wore some stolen clothes he came across, carrying his staff on his back. "So nosy. This place really is irritating. Although the food is good so it's got its ups and downs." He said as people stared at this crazy man talking to himself.

As he walked, he decided to push all other thoughts out of his head. The blue man. While he was being beaten by it, he noticed a few things. Although not much, it would allow him to get the upper hand in the battle.

One of the primary weaknesses he noticed from the blue man was his vulnerability to attacks that it doesn't see coming. Despite its speed, it still needed to perceive incoming attacks in order to dodge or counter them efficiently. Meaning an opponent who can conceal their movements or attacks, or who can strike from unexpected angles and even attempt surprise attacks, can catch the blue man off guard and potentially land a blow.

Although this may be simple and obvious, not only does it show that outside of the powers, the blue man shares common weaknesses with man, but also, Wukong stood no chance against the blue man, any crumb of an advantage he could find, may help him tremendously.

Additionally, the blue man's speed can sometimes work against him. It seemed that it also carried the drawbacks to the person whose power it was borrowing as well. Moving so quickly could make it difficult to maintain perfect balance and control, which means that opponents who can disrupt its movements or force it to rapidly change direction can potentially throw it off balance or cause it to stumble.

Finally, the blue man's powers are limited by its physical endurance. While he can move at superhuman speeds for extended periods of time, it can still tire out like any other human. This means that opponents that can outlast him in a fight, or who can force him to expend a lot of energy early on, may be able to wear him down and gain the upper hand later in the fight.

Although this clearly didn't work well for him as he almost died attempting it. Therefore it was out of the question.

Wukong stopped walking as a door stood before him. After opening it, he was met with a familiar silver room. After walking to the control panel, he looked for the disc that had his opponent on it. Turns out Scott didn't make an effort to return it as it was lying on the table.

With much struggle, Wukong finally found where to insert the disc and activate it. As he did, a blue man emerged from nowhere and stood with its arms by its side.

Wukong stood in front of it, and took a stance. As soon as the fight started, Wukong whispered something under his breath.

"Expand." After saying this, his staff grew to an enormous size. Being mindful of his surroundings and not wanting to destroy the danger room, Wukong didn't expand it too much.

However, Wukongs control over the staff was still not the best. Therefore the end of the staff slammed into the opposite wall resulting in an ear-piercing boom. It cracked the wall and threatened to break through.

Meanwhile, the blue man noticed this as he zoomed directly toward it. Surprised, it didn't have the choice to change direction or stop, therefore it slid under the staff at high speeds.

Before it could get up, the staff retracted and the blue man was met with Wukong standing above him, ready to cave in its skull with his staff.

Wukong was delighted to see that his plan worked. This would be the first time he landed a hit on his foe. However, although Wukong accounted for the speed of the blue man, he had completely forgotten that the blue man had a different attribute.

The blue man placed its hand on the floor and kicked up, placing itself in a one-handed handstand position as it watched the staff brush past its face. Before Wukong could look up, the blue man brought both its feet down onto Wukongs head, slamming his head into the ground as the blue man stood atop him.

Wukong's head bled as the blue man unmounted his skull and returned to its position. After a few seconds, Wukong stood up with a dark face.

As the blood dripped on the floor, he finally looked up, exposing a giant grin.

"This is it. This is how I'll beat it. All I have to do is bypass that annoying speed and with my fighting skills, I can fight the other attribute."

However, he remembered that his body wasn't what it used to be. Feeling perplexed, he caught a glimpse of what seemed to be multiple weights in the corner of the room.

~2 hours later~

Hank could be seen talking with a certain bald man that rested in a wheelchair.

"Has he been found?" asked Xavier.

"They've looked everywhere. They couldn't find him. The only place left that he could be is the danger room. Ororo is making her way there right now."

"Keep him under constant surveillance. It's unknown whether that boy is friend or foe."

Meanwhile, Ororo stood in front of the danger room as its doors swung open. As she prepared herself for a similar sight as the other day, she was met with a boy with multiple 10kg weights on his back.

"One hundred and forty-nine, One hundred and fifty."

"Illian, are you alright?" asked Ororo as she watched him perform push-ups.

"I'm fine. See, normal training." He said as he continued.

'Normal' wouldn't be the exact word she would use, but it was certainly better than his other attempt at 'training'.

"I appreciate that you're trying your best to push yourself. However, not now. You've just woken up from a 3-day coma. You need rest. After that, be free to do whatever kind of training you want."

As Wukong moved to his side and the weights fell off his back, he stood up and stared at the white-haired woman.

"1 week. That's all I'll rest" He said.

"3 weeks." She countered.

"1 week and 2 days."

"2 weeks and a half."

"1 week and a half."

"2 week and after your rest is done you must attend all your classes."

After a few minutes, he gave a reluctant nod and they headed back to the medical ward. When they arrived, Hank had tended to his new wounds, he was given the rest of the day to rest. After a banquet of a feast and a couple of hours, the sun finally started to set.

"I'll be heading off. Remember your promise." Said Ororo as she yawned.

"I will. 2 weeks." Said Wukong.

After she smiled at him, she left the room and closed the door. The similar smile that Wukong had on his face disappeared, replaced with a grin of mischief and deceit. He sprang off his bed and approached the window with his staff.

After he whispered something, the staff extended in length as he slid down it, making his way to the danger room.
