A few days later

Hiro entered the Shokugeki arena with his cabinet and a dark expression on his face, the crowd started booing him and he ignored them. He was pretty angry that a 3rd seat would stoop so low to make himself look better or whatever.

The other seats were quirky but still nice people, Hiro got along with them outside of the kitchen, they weren't friends considering he has their knives in his possession, but they could at least talk and socialize, plus they could still cook with other things.

Hiro taking their knives meant that they lost their dignity, not ability to cook.

He even told them if they wanted their knives back to come and challenge him again, the door was wide open. He didn't like this 3rd seat guy. Wasn't this cheating? If they get their knives back anyway what's the point of him taking them away?

It's like cutting a corner.

They don't learn anything.

Not that teaching others a lesson was what Hiro wanted to do. He liked taking their knives, it was a hobby. But if he took their knives, he realized that they would either rebuild themselves and come back stronger or crumble and lose their will to cook.

If they lost their will to cook because of a knife and their dignity, then they weren't meant to be chefs in the first place. He speculated that's what Senzaemon figured out too, otherwise wouldn't he be angry that he had taken so many knives?

Then again, maybe the old man didn't care?

He walked to the station and put his cabinet down, looking around for the seat that was supposed to be fighting him today. Needless to say, he wasn't in a good mood. He heard a 'psst.' sound from behind him and saw the previous 4th seat with Megumin, the previous 10th seat.

He frowned and she waved him over, he walked over and Mei and Megumin were wearing sunglasses with fake noses and mustaches on them. Mei said "You better watch out, demon-kun." Megumin added "Dumb bully, Nanamori... That guy is a big baddie!"

Hiro blinked and said "What." Mei explained "This isn't the first time he's done this. Usually, he has... ulterior motives... anyway, the students don't know but the seats are well aware of his true nature." she frowned in disgusted and added "That bastard has coerced many girls to 'working' for him. Most of the time, he just blackmails them..."

Hiro was stunned and looked at Megumin in shock, she scrunched her nose and said "What's that look for? I'd rather die than go anywhere near him!" Mei mumbled "Demon-kun, your girlfriend... I think that's why he challenged you."

Hiro's eyes narrowed and became ice-cold "Oh yeah?" Mei shivered and Hiro's smile became eerie and sinister as he added "Hehe~ I hope, for his sake, that you're wrong." Mei gulped and looked at Hiro with a bit of fear, but also something else.

This man might be a scary demon, but he was also handsome and very protective of his friends. She did a background check on his after and before she lost, she came from a very rich and very big family. Her losing the 4th seat wasn't actually a problem for her, she simply shrugged it off and started practicing again to get her knife back.

She realized that she progressed even faster than before! She was in her 2nd year, perhaps next year she could get a higher seat! Though, Hiro would still be here, so probably not, but she was trying as hard as she could.

Her goal was to surpass Hiro...

If she could stand next to him, that would be fine too.

She was settling.

She actually had a bit of emotion, that shouldn't have been there in the first place, as she looked at Hiro's cold look. His sharp features, his cold, piercing, eyes, the barely noticeable fangs on his canines...

She fell silent at she looked at him.

Hiro didn't notice she was looking at him and looked at the door, as a man had just walked in. He was wearing a pure white apron and had long hair that was tied up in a bun on his head. He looked kind and heroic, but Hiro focused on him and saw the glimmer of treachery in his eyes.

He turned his head and happened to see Zerotwo, his eyes lit up for a brief moment before dimming as an intense light full of lust flashed in his eyes. Hiro was absolutely livid, they had been married for 37 years, he was over the stage of caring whether his wife was looked at by other men, it didn't bother him and he actually felt quite proud to have her looked at because they could never touch her and she slept in his arm every night.

She was his wife and quite the beauty.

He was proud that he had such a wife.

But this damn bastard had plotted against him for his wife, that was unacceptable. He was going to ruin this man.

He looked at Mei, who was looking at him in a daze, he blinked and snapped in front of her face, saying "Mei, wake up." Mei blinked and said "Yes?" Hiro said seriously "I need a favor." Megumin jumped in and said "Bully-san! I want to help!" Hiro nodded and said "I need all the information on this Nanamori guy, everything you can get me on him. The more the better."

Mei said hesitantly "Isn't it a bit late?" Hiro grinned and his fangs gleamed "Not after what I'm about to do." Megumin took out a phone with a teddy bear plushie on a string hanging off it, she said "Daddy! I need help!"

Hiro looked at Mei and said "Can you help me?" Mei blushed faintly and snorted "For a price." Hiro nodded and said "We'll talk later." she nodded and took out her phone.

Hiro walked to the station and Nanamori looked at him, saying righteously "Fiend, you will stop your terrorizing on these poor students today!" the crowd erupted into cheers and Hiro looked at him silently, before turning to the judges and saying "I want to change the stakes."
