First impression

The curtain fell on the college entrance exam in June, heavy rain poured down, rumbling thunder and lightning appeared at the same time, while the candidates sitting on the bus after the exam cheered for the torrential rain and thunder and lightning.

The middle school years were over, they were finally liberated.

Emily sat in her seat as she leaned against the window, smiling slightly. She felt that she had played well in the high school exams, and she could finally escape this small county.

There wasn't really anything wrong with the small county, it's just that there were too many bad memories here, the parents' fights, the depressing senior year of high school, the somewhat backward small town ...

"Emily, have you thought about which college to enroll in?" Rue, who was sitting next to her, asked her.

Emily turned to look at her with a smile in her eyes, "I don't know if I'll be able to enroll in A University, but I'll definitely go to A City."

"A-city? That's a big city." Yun listened to her words with a surprised face.

Emily hooked the corner of her mouth, "Yun, what are you afraid of, we are still young."

The bus slowly drove through the dilapidated highway of this small town, the wheels ran over, bringing up fallen leaves and taking away a car full of people's teenage years.

After arguing with her parents several times with red eyes, her parents finally compromised and let Emily go to school in the city of A. The city was too busy and prices were too high.

"Wouldn't it be better to just go to the city, S. City is great too." Her mother stood in front of Emily and asked her once again.

"I just want to get out of the county and see places farther away." Emily's voice was flat, but there was no room for negotiation in her tone.

Her mother sighed and shook her head, "Since your aunt is also in City A, then go."

Emily secretly thanked her aunt in her heart for being so awesome, to put it bluntly, she was just trying to escape.

Her parents didn't send Emily to City A. They said goodbye at the airport. Sitting on the plane, Emily was surprised and delighted. She looked around curiously, as it was her first time on an airplane.

It was her first time on an airplane. It was a three-hour flight from S to A. Emily couldn't sleep for fear of missing a single detail.

"Hello, can I get you anything to drink?" The stewardess pushed the cart over and asked enthusiastically.

"I'll have a Coke." Emily replied happily.

Just sitting on the airplane made her happy.

When she got off the plane, she was picked up by her aunt, who was wearing sunglasses, driving a BMW, and wearing a work suit.

As soon as Emily saw her, they hugged happily.

"Emily made it to A City on her own." Her aunt helped her put her bags in the trunk.

Emily smiled shyly, always shy and well-behaved in front of her elders.

After her aunt got into the car, she started to make a phone call. Her aunt was a company executive, and she had long heard her mom and dad say that she was very busy every day.Emily also sighed, was her aunt really a brother and sister to her dad, and the gap between the people in the same family was so big.She said, "Since we are here in A city, we have to go to the city.

"Since we are all in A city, let's go around and have more fun, how is it, the gap with the home side is still quite big, right?"

Emily lowered the window to look outside, the sound of car horns, the cacophony of people talking mixed together, she almost had to bend down to see all of the tall buildings, she couldn't help but feel scared, "The buildings are really tall."

"All the buildings in A city are this tall, you'll get used to it later when you live here."

Emily let out a deep breath and replied in a small voice, "Yes, I'm going to live here in the future."

Emily thought it was great that the world outside was crazy and beautiful, and she was still young.

On the first day of school, Emily knew better than to ask her aunt for a ride, saying she could do it on her own.

Just as she had imagined, the buildings of the University of A were grand and spectacular, and the greenery was well done, worthy of being a prestigious university. Emily was happy all the way there, and she looked forward to her future life.

The dormitory was good everywhere, except that it didn't have an elevator. She dragged her heavy and big suitcase and climbed to the fifth floor.

"Classmate, do you need help?" A clean and cool voice came from the dormitory, Emily looked over, a somewhat fierce girl stood in the middle of the dormitory, she paused for a moment.

The girl in front of her was wearing a long white dress, her long pitch-black hair fell down to her waist, and the few strands of hair around her ears were casually pinned behind her ears. She had a standard melon face, and her eyes were very special, amber in color; she was a standard beauty, the kind you couldn't help but look at more as you walked along the road. But she was beautiful in an aggressive way, and if she didn't smile, she looked fierce.

"You're...so pretty." Emily was a little overwhelmed.

"Pfft ..." the girl suddenly laughed at the way she felt Emily was intimidated by her, a situation she had encountered too many times.

"I'm Sarah, what's your name?" Sarah held out her hand to her.

Emily smiled a little awkwardly and took her hand, "I'm Emily."

"Let me help you, I can make the bed." Sarah told her.

Emily felt flattered, "Can...can I? Thank you then."

Emily had been a little nervous, but she looked mean, but she was a warm and friendly person, and her heart dropped a little.

The other two roommates also arrived, one named Isabella and one named Ann.

All four roommates have different personalities: Emily is shy, like a good little sister, everyone in the dorm will take care of her, Sarah is like a big sister, she is a bit arrogant, she looks fierce, no one dares to mess with her, she is also very protective of her roommates.

Isabella is smart and gentle, she is the study committee member of the class, she always reminds everyone of the time to hand in homework, Ann is a funny girl, and is also the joy of the dormitory.

As college life proceeds in an orderly fashion, Emily slowly adapts to it from her initial ignorance and constraints, except that the prices in the city of A do make her tiptoe a bit.

In the evening, everyone was discussing the matter of course selection, Emily and Sarah's bed neighbor, she poked her head out of the bed to Sarah's bed: "Sarah, elective course you choose what?"

"I took English Classics, why? You're taking the same one as me?" Sarah sat on her bed applying a face mask, a beautiful woman's routine was always exquisite.

"I don't want to be separated from you, Sarah," Emily also made a crying face expression.Sarah looked helpless: "Okay, okay, quickly choose the same with me, take you to class, don't disturb my rest."

Emily heard her satisfied answer immediately happy again, she immediately opened the class selection system, selected English classics.

For the first time, Sarah dragged Emily to put on full make-up, Sarah was quite fast, but Emily didn't know how to put on make-up, so she was clumsy for a long time, and in the end, the two of them managed to be late for the class. The classroom was full for the first time.

"It's over, it's all full." Sarah glanced at the classroom.

"What do we do, how do we get in?" Emily asked her with a frown.

"They've all started class, let's go in the back door."

Two boys suddenly appeared behind them.

Sarah and Emily looked at them and then at each other.

"They're not late for class too, are they?" Emily whispered.

"I think so, follow them." Sarah whispered.

The two boys noticed them as well, but the two didn't say anything and carefully opened the back of the classroom, ready to slip in.

However, the four had only just slipped in when they were caught by their classmates and the teacher.

For the first time in class, the students sat very quietly, and the movement of the four was very conspicuous.

The students all turned to look at them and snickered, talking in all directions.

The teacher also laughed at them, "Late? Come to the front." The teacher was a very kind looking old man, he wore a pair of glasses and his hair was a bit thin, very much in line with the image of a college professor in Emily's mind.

"What bad luck." One of the boys said.

Emily wondered what the professor would have them do and apprehensively walked to the front.

"You four sit in the first row." The professor smiled and pointed to the empty first row.

"That's good?" Emily asked Sarah with some amusement.

"I don't know." Sarah, always high and confident, couldn't figure it out.

"There's no need to use the back door if you're late, it's fine to come in from the front, you won't lose any points." The professor spoke up as sighs grew from the students below.

"We happen to be talking about the story of Romeo and Juliet, I think it's up to you four to give a rendition." The professor picked up his water glass and drank.

The students in the back of the room shouted even louder, the first class was so interesting.

"Huh?!" The four let out a surprise almost simultaneously.

"No, playing Romeo and Juliet?!" All four felt as if they were joking.

"Don't worry, not now, I'll give you time, this will be treated as your final exam, and only if all the students are satisfied will you get a high grade."

The students said that it was still the professor who was shrewd.

"Teacher, the four of us don't know each other." One of the boys spoke up.

"Don't know each other? That's better, now the four of you go to the podium and introduce yourselves, so not only do the four of you know each other, everyone knows you." The professor lifted his glasses and squinted and smiled.

The students all laughed and everyone had a look on their faces as they watched the show.

The four men got up helplessly and came back to the podium to introduce themselves.

"So embarrassed I'm buckling my toes to the floor." Emily said quietly.

"It's okay, luckily I'm wearing full makeup today." Sarah replied.

Emily bristled.

"Hello everyone, my name is Hans, I'm a native of A City, Information Engineering Department, my favorite thing about basketball, so please come see us play often." After Hans' introduction, some of the girls below started to stir.

"Hello classmates, my name is Martin, a native of A city, Information Engineering Department. Um...can come and watch us play basketball." Martin was a bit nervous, he wasn't as cheerful as Hans.

The girls below still had a commotion.

"Both of them are so handsome!"

Emily looked at them, and only then did she get a good look at the two 180 tall guys.

Martin's face was clean and sharp, with long, thin eyes under thick eyebrows and long, defined lashes when he looked down. There was a mole on the high bridge of his nose, and Emily saw that he was a good student and a good talker.

Hans fine hair scattered in front of the forehead, single eyelid eyes but bright, he smiled slightly tilted at the corners of the mouth, mixed with some hangdog feeling. emily feel that he is a little bit like a slag man.

Next, it was time for the two of them, and Emily asked Sarah to go first.

Sarah didn't have the slightest bit of stage fright, she confidently walked up to the podium, "My name is Sarah, I'm from the finance department, and I like to...dress up." Sarah's eyes were as haughty as ever. The students marveled at her looks.

"Like to dress up? Hahaha, so pretty looking to still have a sense of humor." Hans said to Martin next to her, who also ticked his lips.

"Hello everyone, my name is Emily, I'm from a small town in S. I like to play badminton, then listen to music and watch movies...thank you everyone." Emily's introduction was like an elementary school student's opening statement and she smiled shyly.

Emily wasn't like Sarah who was a first glance beauty, but she was kind of good looking, she was good looking and with her petite figure she could turn heads. She had a nice, sweet smile with her sleepers. If Sarah was red wine, Emily was a cupcake.

"This girl is pretty cute." Hans said again with Martin.

Martin looked over and nodded in approval.

After all four were introduced, the teacher started the normal class and also assigned them performance tasks.

Perhaps because of the four people's previous experience, the students listened quite attentively and did not make any small movements. The teacher's lecture was also funny and humorous, very charismatic and not boring.

"Ring ring ring ..."

"Class, class dismissed." The teacher took the water cup and walked out of the classroom, and the students also left the classroom in twos and threes.

When Emily and Sarah were packing their book bags, Hans opened his mouth and said, "Classmates, let's have dinner together?" He smiled a sunny smile and his eyes were full of anticipation.

The two were puzzled not to give an answer.

"Just discuss the show, that's all." Martin added clumsily.

"Nothing much anyway, okay." Sarah agreed first and Emily nodded.

Emily felt amazing, she had thought her college life was going to be pretty uneventful, but suddenly having to act in a play with two boys made her a little excited for what was to come afterward.

The two boys said it was their treat and took them to Wolfgang, a famous upscale restaurant in A City.

"No way?" Emily said quietly to Sarah.

"See the Rolex on Martin's hand? He's a rich kid."

Emily didn't know much about watches, but it must be unusual to bring them to a place like this for dinner.

Martin left to order, Hans sneaked up next to them and said to them, "Martin invited us, he's a rich kid."

Emily and Sarah also came up next to him and Sarah whispered, "He doesn't own this restaurant, does he?"

"Yes, Wolfgang is his family." Hans nodded.

"I'm going to ...," Emily's pupils quake as the rich kid shines into reality.

"I went to high school with him, and he's kinda different from everyone else too, his parents wanted him to apply to foreign universities, but he wanted to stay home and go to school. But, I'm just a normal guy." After saying that, Hans smiled.

Sarah and Emily looked like they were eating melon, "Do children from rich families have troubles too?"

Martin came back, he was more composed and quieter than Hans, he wouldn't have spoken if Hans hadn't taken the initiative to talk.

"Let's pick two male and female leads." Sarah suggested.

"We could use a lottery like this." Emily opened a little lottery program and all four of them started drawing at the same time.

They stared at the screen expectantly and nervously.

"What?!" Emily exclaimed, and the waitresses all looked this way a few more times.

Emily and Martin drew the male and female lead.

Sarah and Hans laughed on the sidelines.

"I can't even imagine how loud I laughed when you played Liang Shanbo." Hans said to Martin.

Martin was a little embarrassed, but quickly returned to calm. He put down the chopsticks in his hand and said to Emily, "It's okay, everyone working together is able to act well, you have to believe in yourself."

Emily was still in shock, "No, let me play the female lead?"

Sarah pressed her shoulder, "What a great opportunity to exercise!" Sarah was also watching the fun, "Well, it's settled, Martin doesn't even have a problem with it, so don't push your luck."

"Ah ah ah ah ah ... embarrassed." Emily covered her face in raw frustration.

Everyone laughed.

Hans created a group and named it "Romeo and Juliet".

Looking back now, it was really a precious and happy memory, to the extent that the four of them would look back and laugh happily.

Young people always like to be lively, from then on, the four of them would often foursome, perhaps it was fate, the four of them chatted very much, the friendship soared, half a semester passed, the four of them were already very good friends.

They would go to find empty classrooms to write their scripts, they would make appointments to go to class together, and they would eat together after class.

Hans also said that the two of them were the first two friends of the opposite sex they made on A-Line.

"On the weekends, watch a movie together?" Martin invited.

"What kind of movie?" Emily asked.

The weekend was almost here again, and the four of them were walking down the green campus paths in boredom.

"Watching Romeo and Juliet." Martin replied.

"Hmm? Has it been in theaters recently?" Sarah asked.

"No. I was going to say that we could watch it together and share the plot." Martin explained.

"At your house?" Hans asked with some anticipation.

"Yes."

"Your house?" Emily asked.

"It's my home theater, so you guys don't have to worry, my parents aren't usually at home."

"What a rich kid..." exclaimed Sarah.

What a nice choice to watch a movie together at a friend's house, Emily thought.
