Meeting others

"Come with me. I was told that you were trained with a sword. I will take you to fight. What say you?" She finished dressing and stood facing him. Her gown had threads at the back which were tightened. This made her hip curves visible. She had her tied into braids.

She looked very beautiful now. Aragon finished eating and got up.

"Come, let's go." She said walking ahead.

Both of them came out of the house. The night entailed incident was buried as the two didn't utter a single word about it.

Aragon was thinking about why he lost control over his body. It was the second time as it happened a while ago. He was unable to describe this feeling. At that moment, usually, his calm mind was having too many thoughts that he didn't even have.

Katheryn was pondering what only she knows, as she walked. She didn't think much of the night's incident.

They reached a large house. It was long and wide. The wooden house had thick beams supported on all edges. It had few seats on either side. At one end, a chair made of stone was placed. It was big and looked rough with carved lines.

The Solvwulf tribe were the people with high pride and arrogant bunch. They valued having authority even among the tribe. The seat which was made of stone was considered for the chief to sit.

In these mountain lands, this tribe was feared by many, as it triumphed over the other tribes, with only limited members. As time passed, the number grew and it became a powerful tribe.

Now they had a total of almost 100 members of Solvwulf tribe. And other members present in the village aren't members of the tribe but they worked under them.

The main tribe members were all present in the hall. On either side of the hall, a total of ten members were seated.

Katheryn entered the hall with Aragon behind her.

Rhaet was sitting on that stone seat and noticed Aragon following behind Katheryn. He squint his eyes observing him for a few seconds and then continued with their discussion.

Katheryn walked beside his seat of Rhaet. There were a few members under Rhaet and Synnove was also present in them.

Katheryn approached her and stood there. Aragon also followed the suit.

Rhaet was done listening to other members and he spoke, "They have provoked us and we will answer them without any delay."

Another man who was a little short but strong build, said, "Didn't they say they would send a man to talk to us? Why has he not come yet?"

Another added, "It doesn't matter. No one should be alive after making a statement against us. We should make this an example for other tribes as well."

Rhaet nodded. If one provoked them, they would raid their village and kill all their warriors leaving the villagers. Then the villagers were taken in as workers for them.

As long as they worked, they will be given land and food. That was how the tribes operated around the mountains. They were in a sense like slaves but they had the freedom to live as they worked. It was more like a threatening option for them. Either live under us or die with your warriors.

The tribe which provoked them this time was the Isu tribe. It was a couple of miles from the Solvwulf tribe. The distance can be covered by walking for half a day to a day.
