Chapter 5 : A new World 1

It had been nearly five years since Samael was reborn and a lot had happened since then. For starters, his earlier days had been mostly spent in his mother's arms. He was breastfed, bathed and taken on expeditions for slaying monsters. Yes ! real monsters.

As he grew older and learned about his new life, he had been stuped and godsmacked to discover that what he called home was actually a dungeon.

In this new world.....dungeons very much existed and they were a home to a variety of monsters, intelligent and otherwise. He had been exposed to more monsters than he thought possible and had realized that his zoologypedia from earth had been a joke.

His intelligence and curiosity had amazed his parents and they had hence forth facilitated his education from a very early age. Seemingly, they had knew that they would have to run for their lives and they had since then prepared for Samael's eventual birth.

They had used space rings to hold whatever he might have needed - From thousands of books, tens of weapons, wardrobes of clothes to gallons of water, plentiful of food and other daily necessities. In total there were close to twenty space rings with each possessing a space of more than a football field which were packed to the brim. For now, they were rich.

His beautiful mother was the one responsible for his education but she had only taught him the basic letters and then from then onwards he had been on his own, not that he minded.

He had learned that the world he was born into was called Fellos and it was divided into two continents: the Daybreak and Nightbreak continents.

The Daybreak continent was controlled by humans, elves, dwarves and the beastkin.

The Nightbreak continent was controlled by the vampires, werewolves, Dragons and demons.

Each continent was huge and each species had its own dynasty.

These two continents apparently loathed each other to the bones and wars between them were a norm.

The dungeon that Samael called home was actually referred to as the Infinity Dungeon and it was in the Daybreak continent at the centre of all humans, elves, dwarves and beastkin dynasties.

The infinity dungeon actually served as a prison for some species of the Nightbreak continent that were imprisoned millions of years ago by the Ancestral warriors of the Daybreak continent to be used as a training commodity for their descendant.

That implied that all the races in the upper hierarchy of the daybreak continent had access to the dungeon as a training facility for their adventures and their soldiers but very few personages ever ventured into the Infinity Dungeon for training or to harvest monster parts because all the monsters in there were very dangerous and most of them were actually the species of the Nightbreak continent.

This meant that in this dungeon, one was liable to meet the vampires, werewolves and even dragons and their descendants.

As a matter of fact, all the entrances into this dungeon from all the dynasties were strictly regulated and armies were stationed in each outpost to prevent or slow down any monster outbreak.

In simple terms, the infinity dungeon was named as such because the dungeon had a very high mortality rate and no one had even reached its highest floor to such extent that it had not even been confirmed if it had one. The highest confirmed floor was the 100th floor and the last time that floor was reached was hundreds of years ago.

Each floor of the Infinity dungeon was more than thrice as large as a city on earth and the higher one went about the floors, the bigger the floors became and the stronger the monsters also became.

Currently, they were where he assumed was the 30th floor and it was filled with flying birl like creatures. Some monsters had even started to show a semblance to humans. They had human faces, long cascading hair and beautiful statues but their hands and feet had talons instead of fingers and feet and their bodies were covered with feathers of varying colors with black being the dominant color. From the books he had read, this group of species was apparently called the bird race and they were an unruly bunch.

When they had first arrived on this floor, they bird race had attacked them in flocks but unfortunately for them , their efforts were for null. It was almost as if they were kicking a stone to hurt themselves.

What the bird race had experienced could only be summed up in one word - massacre. The family of three had simply annihilated the birdmen. Those that survived and were currenly alive had wisely chosen to stop their advances and escape for dear life.

He had confirmed there and then that his parent were strong, super strong.
