The Lady's Attitude

Aunt Lin was still trying to help Tong Jingxian to step foot into Fu Mansion. When Jiang Chen was reminded of his son's cough, he still had an unsightly expression on his face, but his attitude was not as uncompromising as before.

No matter how bad Jiang Chen's temper was or how merciless he became toward others, he would always make his son's health a priority. Tong Jingxian knew this very well, which was why Aunt Lin deliberately kept reminding Jiang Chen about his son's cough.

In the end, Tong Jingxian walked into the dining room with a bottle of autumn pear syrup in her hand.

"Jiang Chen, may I come in?" Tong Jingxian's face was pale and sickly, and she was wearing a white sweater and a light pink plaid skirt.

"What's wrong, Miss Tong? You don't look well." When Aunt Lin noticed this, she quickly ran over to help Tong Jingxian with her things and asked with concern.

Tong Jingxian shook her head and said, "It's nothing serious. I just have a cold." She then looked at the man in front of her with a gentle gaze and a hint of expectancy. However, Jiang Chen paid no attention to her at all.

When Jiang Chen saw that Bai Yu'an was absent-minded while eating, his slender fingers tapped on the table. "Jiang Wei, you have to focus while you're eating!"

"Oh." When Bai Yu'an heard this, he raised his eyebrows and continued to eat.

'Who is this? Tsk, tsk, tsk. She looks like a person with high status, but why is she dressed in such skanky clothing? It also seems as though she deliberately made her face look pale. This woman's makeup skills are not bad. If her eyes weren't such a dead giveaway, I would've believed her. Is this woman here to gain sympathy?'

Bai Yu'an continued to eat as he secretly watched the interaction between Tong Jingxian and Jiang Chen. As expected, after seeing Jiang Chen ignore her, Tong Jingxian's expression stiffened as it revealed a great sense of disappointment.

"Jiang Wei, please remember to drink this autumn pear syrup. Oh right, Aunt Jingxian also knitted you a pair of gloves. The weather is getting cold. You always wanted me to knit you a pair of gloves so you could go out and play, right?"

Tong Jingxian surprised the child and took out a pair of knitted woolen gloves from her bag. She really wanted to knit those gloves by herself even though she came from a wealthy family and could easily purchase one.

Aunt Lin ran over to Tong Jingxian again and said, "Wow, Miss Tong, you're so talented! You even know how to knit gloves all by yourself. These are much better than the ones that are sold in stores. Master Jiang, take a look at the stitching and the patterns. No amount of money could buy something as special as this."

As Aunt Lin said this, she took the pair of gloves and immediately went to Jiang Chen's side. Jiang Chen took a look at the hand-knitted gloves. From the quality to the design, it was apparent that Tong Jingxian had put a lot of effort into these gloves. The material on the outside and the inside of the gloves were soft and velvety. It was especially suitable for children like Jiang Wei, who was poor in health.

Jiang Chen's expression finally began to ease up. He retracted his gaze and tacitly agreed to this matter. When Tong Jingxian saw this, she was immediately overjoyed. She took the pair of gloves over and stood beside Bai Yu'an. "I hope that you will allow me to help you put them on so that we can see if it fits."

"Sure, let's see if they fit." Bai Yu'an smiled and stretched out his hands to help put the gloves on.

'Judging from this woman's appearance, she would often come to this house.' Bai Yu'an had to accept the gloves so that he wouldn't cause a scene.

However, just as Tong Jingxian was putting on the gloves for Bai Yu'an, another person rushed in from outside of Fu Mansion. Without an announcement, the person barged in and said, "Jiang Chen, I heard that Jiang Wei is back. How is he? Is he alright?" It was Bai Yu'an's mother.

Bai Yu'an pulled his hand back almost instantly.

Jiang Chen and Tong Jingxian were stunned. Their expressions changed so fast that it was invisible to the naked eye, especially Tong Jingxian, whose face became unsightly. 

'Su Zhi'en, you b*tch, you came at the right time.'

Su Zhi'en rushed to Fu Mansion in a hurry when she heard Ming Ze say that Bai Yu'an, who was currently mistaken as Jiang Wei, almost got lost this afternoon. Su Zhi'en was worried, so she rushed over to check on him.

"Why is this woman here? Did you let her touch your son again, Jiang Chen?" When Su Zhi'en saw Tong Jingxian in the same room as her son, her gaze became cold.

When they were on the boat, Su Zhi'en did everything in her power, including slitting her wrist to get Jiang Chen to agree not to let this b*tch near her son again.

'What is going on? Why is Tong Jingxian here? The three of them are happily eating together with such intimacy. Has Tong Jingxian reconciled with Jiang Chen?'

Su Zhi'en's face turned red with anger. Especially when she saw the gloves on her son's hands and that Tong Jingxian was so close to her son.

"Have you gone insane, Su Zhi'en? Who told you that you could just barge in here? What do you take this place for? You think this is a place where you can come and go as you wish?" Jiang Chen spoke. 

Every word carried a murderous tone as he gritted his teeth. It was as if he wanted to immediately drag Su Zhi'en over and chop her up into tiny pieces. 

'How dare he speak to Mommy like that?!' Bai Yu'an was utterly displeased when he witnessed this. He almost opened his mouth to defend his mother. How could he let his mother be treated like this?

However, Tong Jingxian suddenly intervened, "Don't act like that, Jiang Chen. Miss Su is your doctor now. Surely, there's a reason for her visit." She then walked toward Su Zhi'en with a smile on her face.
