Mate

Kai's POV:

A girl was running through everyone's territories. She was trespassing and didn't care. Barefoot with a white dress.

When my beta told me this I told him to stop her before she gets to our territory.

But he said it's kinda impossible cause an army of wolves are following her and aren't able to catch her. Ok then I will do it. I like a good challenge. A chance to show others that I am better of them.

I asked about the path she is crossing and decided to take a path which will lead me to front of her instead of behind her. Besides power strategy is important too.

I can't let go of her cause I am one of the most terrifying and dangerous Alphas if I don't show everyone who the boss is they will think I am getting weak and that can't happen and on top of that I enjoy a good hunt.

When I got in front of her I never thought I was going to meet my mate.

When I caught her I felt like I was on fire. Sparks were dancing on my skin.

"Mate." Eifa howls. He could barely control himself.

Her golden brown hair all around her. She is mesmerizing. Those green eyes. A jungle of their own.

I shake my head realizing the wolves are still following her. I look up and growl.

They immediately realized what's going on or gave up cause they recognized me. I don't care all I care about is my mate. This beautiful creature who is in my arms.

But before I can say a word to her she passes out. I pick her up and carry her back to my mansion. Even this little contact is driving me crazy. My wolf has never been this excited and happy.

My pack members are staring at me not uttering a word.

"Kai." My beta, Dillon says.

"Why are you taking her to your room. The cells are downstairs." He says.

"Why would you bring her to your room?" He asks again. I glare at him.

"Is not like she is your mate right?" He asks. I glare.

"Oh she is your mate." He says. Realizing what is going on.

"Call the doctor." I say. He nods and rushs away.

At first I thought the scent I felt was for the forest but no it's from her. She smells like jungle, forests, woods and all. Like the earth after a good rain. Like home. I love it.

She was faster, in her human form, than them in their wolf form which shows she must be very strong and has a lot of strong genes. How proud me and Eifa feel.

"Or maybe a huge goal?" My wolf suggests.

Maybe. Why was she on a run? Did anyone hurt her?

At twenty four I was almost disappointed in finding my mate. And just like that she ran into my arms. Like a miracle. My miracle.

I can't wait for her to wake up. I have many questions. At the moment she can be my beautiful mystery.

I push a strand of her hair out of her face and the second my hand connects with her hair electricity dances through my body.

A knock interrupts my thoughts. The doctor comes in with Dillon by it side.

Even though Eifa isn't happy about the idea of another person or creature touching her, I can't do a thing except waiting in a corner. That's for the best. She needs to be treated. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I want her all to myself.

"She is just exhausted and didn't have enough food for the past days. Something must've been stressing her out." The doctor says. I nod to her.

"When will she wake up?" I ask.

"It depends on her and her wolf. They need to rest for a while but soon she will be up." She says.

"So useful." My wolf, Eifa, says sarcastically.

"May I leave, Alpha?" She asks. I nod.

"I will take care of everything today. Since clearly you want to stay by her side." Dillon says. One less thing to worry about.

"Thanks." I say. He nods with a smile and leaves.

I sit by her side on the bed and stare at her. How didn't I notice? She has alpha blood in her system. She is an alphas daughter and probably a future alpha. I can sense it.

But why was she running away from her pack? What happened?

Questions are all I have.

The more I stare at her the more mesmerized I am. My wolf can't take it anymore he wants to know his mate.

My packs future Luna. How will they take it? I mean we are the strongest pack out there will she be able to keep up with us? Who are her family? Where is she from?

"She has alpha blood. She is a future alpha. She is perfect." Eifa reminds me. He seems proud.

"I know." I say.

I can't wait for our journey to begin and something makes me feel like it's not going to be an easy one.

"Can you come downstairs for a second?" Dillon says through the mind link.

"Come on just a second." He says.

"Ok." I reply.

I went downstairs and helped him out with some paper works. Dillon has been there for me since day one. He's truly more like a brother to me than a friend and I am really glad to have him by my side he is a true blessing.

When I get back to my room I sense a small change in my mate and less than a second she opens her eyes and gasps as she sits down on the bed.

Her eye roam all around the room till they set on me. Those beautiful green eyes. I take a deep breath.

And here's the moment I have been waiting for my whole life. Let's begin.
